Works well with 18-55mm lens
I’ve taken a punt on this Neewer 140mm Nodal Plate. I wanted to try this out to reduce parallax when taking panoramic photos with my Nikon D5300 and 18-55mm standard lens. The Neewer Nodal Plate is well made, good quality and has some nice touches: both 38mm Arca Swiss clamp and ¼” bolt attachment, the bubble level has a ring and spot for better accuracy.I have a cheap tripod with 50mm Quick Release mounting, the nodal plate is Arca Swiss compatible: the slide is 38mm wide and the clamp takes a 38mm mounting plate. So these are not compatible, however both have ¼” (ISO 1222) bolts and matching threaded holes on the nodal plate so I was able to cobble them together. The tripod QR plate bolted on to the nodal plate under the Arca Swiss clamp, and the camera bolted on through the slot using the supplied captive bolt (see pictures). Note I had to cut a small hole in the QR plate as the small bolts under the nodal plate protrude (this must make it difficult to attach other equipment using the bolt holes – maybe the manufacture could improve this or use pan head screws).I tried to find the nodal point with my 18-55mm lens set to 45 (less barrel distortion):• Set the tripod level using the nodal plate bubble.• Placed 2 garden canes one at 2m and one at 6m lined up with the tripod.• Panned the camera fully left and right. With the camera as close to the clamp as it would go the parallax was the width of a cane (~8mm at 6m). With the camera slid back to the bubble level end perfect no parallax visible (see pictures). As you can see using the screw mounts is possible to get a good nodal point with the 140mm plate and 18-55mm lens, however this is the maximum extent of the plate. It doesn’t look like it will handle my 55-300mm lens, but that isn’t a priority for me. I didn’t go for the 200mm nodal plate as I didn’t want it appearing in shot with the 18-55mm lens. I intend to replace my old tripod with a better one now I’ve got the nodal plate. The QR attachment doesn’t feel secure enough to take out on the hills with a £400+ camera and using the nodal plate means it’s effectively dangling off a 140mm lever. The Arca Swiss clamp seems the best way to go.Note I intend using my set up in landscape mode as I have no need for much sky or ground in my panorama photos, and I use AutoStitch to create these.

Affordable, well made and ... does the job
Was suspicious about this product due to the incredible difference in price versus renewed US brands. The product look well made, robust, carefully manufactured and up to the job.I'm using it with a EOS R and the 24-105mm RF lens and the 140mm seems to be the right length for this type of lens. Still have to test it with longer lenses (e.g. 70-200mm), but I guess the same product in 200mm would be the logical alternative in case I might need a longer slide.

Does what is needed
Does just what I needed, using my Oly E0M10 mk2 with an l-mount & the 25mm, 45mm and 60mm I've pinpointed a reasonable position to use for all 3, the Oly is easy because it's all so small and close together but the basic quick release plates dont have quite enough length (I can see the problem with the Nikons and Canons with big lenses, for me about half the length would be fine). I'll take on board the other comments about the screw thread stripping - it would have been nice to have a quick release but for my level of use I don't envisage an issue - marked up my l-mount with coloured paint so I can quickly align with this plate and then marked up this plate with the tripod mount.

Perfect for OM-D E-M5 Mark ii with 12-40 Pro lens
Good quality. Clamp screw is captive so stops at end of opening and will not fall out. Clamps securely and opens sufficiently for easy fitting of camera plate from above. Using for OM-D E-M5 Mark ii with 12-40 Pro lens and this is a good length. Lens entrance pupil (node) is at approx 20 mm from end, so could not have used a shorter rail. The end of the rail is just short of the end of the lens hood so not visible in pics. The lens and hood have just enough clearance above the plate.

Top Company, Top Product as always.
This item is solidly built and will last many years, indispensable for panoramic images when used correctly. Perfect length for my Nikon 18-105mm lens as well as every other lens longer than this.

Needs to have an instruction leaflet included
Positives: Well made. Works .... when you can figure out how to use it.Negatives: No instructions and not obvious how it is intended to be used. The only photo on the advert that includes a camera has it mounted in an orientation not suitable for stitched panoramas. After some effort and advice from a friend I now understand that the slide back day attaches to an Arca Swiss tripod mount and then the Arca Swiss mounting plate on the base of the camera fits in the screw clamp. The strange thing is the sliding screw which appears to play no part in using this as a nodal slide for panoramic shots. I can only assume it's there for some other purpose? Instructions would no doubt explain all!

Totalmente recomendable.

Perfect addition to my panaramic photos
I'm currently using this for panaramic photography, as in to try best not have a parallax issue in the photographs, it's well made, a nice feeling of sturdiness, and light weight, which is always a good thing.
