Excellent highly visible and well made
I purchased these item after a lot of searching through mixed reviews of many similar items. I have to say these are impressive. The canvas style material appears robust. The pouches have 2 zips but only one large pocket . I filled mine with kiln dried sand to avoid any dampness. I put the sand into sealable freezer bags and then slide the plastic bag inside the canvass bag. I bought 6 bags, some for my photograph tripods and some for our portable clothes line- this is the most use they have had in the months since I bought them and they have worked brilliantly. They are easy to carry with the built in carry handles. I think that with normal care and attention they will last a long time. If you throw them about the inner plastic bag will likely burst and sand my leak. Pebbles would be ok though. The bags are quite heavy when filled with sand 0ne unit weighs 7lbs (3.5 lbs per side)They are highly visible and are great for tripod weights as they will be seen and not easily tripped over , as most tripods are black its very useful having a bag of high visibility.I'm very pleased with them and for the price of 6 items its really a no brainer, buy with confidence, treat it properly and it will last .

Great alternative to expensive “BT” sand bags
Good quality bags. We put the sand in lay flat tubing so we’ll sealed.l and have lasted well. They get used almost daily, in and out of our vans and work really well. I would recommend.

Well made. Can be reversed so black side is out.
Good viability is important as its easy to trip over light stand legs and the pattern on these really helps. Can be reversed so black side is out, if shooting reflective surfaces.Double zipped. Thick material. Decent zips. Used plastic bags in mine to reduce the abrasion of the gravel I used, to protect the inside of the weight bags.

Each bag takes about 5Kg of sand.
This hopefully is stating the bleeding obvious, but for anyone who doesn't spot it, the bags are delivered empty and you have to supply your own sand. each bag is made up of 2 individual bags, each closed by 2 heavy duty zips, closing in opposite directions. Using standard builders' sand I managed to fill each double bag to a weight of 5Kg. In use the bags are robust and with no sign of escaping sand.

Inexpensive but effective
I bought these to hold down 2 speaker stands. They arrived very quickly and I filled the with small shingle bought from a garden shop - about 3.5 kilos in each bag. The bags have a double zip so there’s no spillage and they worked great. And you could use them for keep fit if you wanted!

Well made and a good size for lighting stand use.
I got this pack of six for reasons of economy, and filled 4 of them from a standard sized bag of fine builders sand.My intended use is on a tripod style lighting mast, 4.5m high and outdoors, so weights on the legs are essential. These bags are well made, but be careful with the zips as they are a double-layer zip, and can be a little fiddly if the bags are full and bulging at the zip opening. The zips are adequate, but pulling too hard to close the opening may cause the zip to malfunction and fail.

Durable and perfect for the job.
I love the double zipped pouches, as it ensures the sand stays exactly where it should be. The zips are also good quality which is a must for me, as I don't want sand all over the boot of my car.The black and yellow design helps me never to leave them behind at a shoot, as they will always catch my eye. They are spot on for ballast, and I've found I need no more than two on any light stand, although one generally does the trick.

Far better quality than I expected
To be fair, they are as described. But I wasn't expecting quite such rugged fabric and webbing, and the double zip inspires confidence when I put sand in.That said, I have filed the first two with a 1kg weight in each side, because I have them around the house. I am wondering about getting some more of those. They are around 15cm diameter and fit very snugly. One complaint: Too much plastic packaging...My six pack has six sand bags, each one is in an inner clear plastic bag. This is then sealed in an unnecessary outer grey plastic bag.The six of these are packed in a blue plastic Neewer outer containing bag. This outer bag was then wrapped in a wholly unnecessary white plastic bag with an Amazon address sticker that could easily have been put onto the Neewer bag.Blame apportionment... 50% to Neewer, 50% to Amazon.

Great value, very sturdy. True weight is 16lbs.
These bags are great for what they do. Like others have said, I lined mine with ziploc bags to keep the sand contained. I had no issues with any of the zippers - but you have to be careful getting the inner one started as the zipper can jam easily on a loaded bag. There's an internal spine in the middle which helps the bags maintain their shape when hanging - a nice touch.I used playground sand to load all 6 of mine to 16lbs - 8lbs per pocket. Loading it any more seems like it would stress the zippers and stitching.Would definitely recommend.
