From Sluggish to Sensational: Archoil AR6400-D Resurrects My BMW 520d
A single 400ml bottle of Archoil's AR6400-D MAX Pro has completely transformed my BMW 520d, resolving a host of frustrating issues and saving me from what I feared would be a costly visit to a specialist. For any owner of BMW's otherwise brilliant diesel engines, this high-strength fuel system cleaner is an absolute must-try. My 520d, a car I rely on for its blend of performance and economy, had started to feel tired and unhealthy. The once-sharp acceleration had become noticeably sluggish, there was a definite hesitation when pulling away, and I’d spotted the dreaded puff of smoke from the exhaust when accelerating hard. With an upcoming MOT, the potential for DPF and emissions-related problems was a major worry. These symptoms are unfortunately common for many modern diesel cars, including the venerable BMW 520d. Carbon build-up across the fuel system, clogged injectors, and a struggling DPF and EGR system, often worsened by urban driving cycles, can strangle the engine's performance and efficiency. Having seen positive reports about Archoil AR6400-D, I opted to try it before committing to expensive diagnostic and repair work. I added the full bottle to a tank of premium diesel and made sure to give the car a good, long run on the motorway to let the powerful cleaning agents circulate properly. The difference is, frankly, night and day. The most immediate improvement was the restoration of the car's responsiveness. That annoying lag has vanished, and the engine now delivers the smooth, eager performance I expect from a BMW. It feels sharper, stronger, and pulls cleanly through the entire rev range. Crucially, the tell-tale smoke from the exhaust is gone. This gives me huge confidence for the impending MOT, as it's a clear visual sign that the AR6400-D has done its job of clearing out soot and carbon deposits from the engine and exhaust system. The entire driving experience has been elevated. The engine runs more quietly and feels significantly smoother, both at idle and on the move. It's as if the Archoil has performed a comprehensive internal detox, allowing the injectors, turbo, and DPF to function as they were designed to. For any BMW 520d owner experiencing a decline in performance, rough running, or facing anxiety over DPF and emissions warnings, I cannot recommend the Archoil AR6400-D MAX Pro enthusiastically enough. It has proven to be a remarkably simple and cost-effective solution that has genuinely resolved all the running issues my car had developed. Consider it an essential part of your annual maintenance schedule to keep your BMW performing at its peak.

Does what it says on the tin, excellent product
Really does what it says on the tin unlike many diesel system cleaners on the market, already my Ford Kuga 2018 1.5 tdci whic has done 100,000 miles has improved performance and engine sounds smooth, seems to have cleaned out turbo as an added bonus, very happy to recommend this product which was simple to use, and very well priced for what it achieves, I'd give it 10/10 for its cleaning performance.

Seems to have helped get out of limp mode
I have a 55 plate CMAX and was very slugging when I bought it but never thought much of it as it's not the greatest car in the world so didn't expect it to go that quickly. After getting timing belt and a few other jobs done over a 3 month period the mechanic mentioned that the car was in limp mode and to be honest I had no idea what he was talking about and would cost from £100 to look at but could cost more to fix so I left it and looked online. I had tried a few different cheaper variations of this type of additive and had a some small improvements but would always after sometime go back to normal. I thought I would try this as reviews seemed OK and to just keep this short, it is not a miracle formula as its an old car but you can now tell the difference on driving as I now have a turbo that works. It can from time to time slip back a little but then next day its off again so guessing after a few more treatments over the next year might fix the problem permanently or at least be way cheaper than having it looked at. I would recommend it but I am sure it wont work for everyone.

Magic. Here's what it does
If you have a problem with you diesel particulate filter (DPF), your ERG valve sticking or anything in the exhaust system, the whole exhaust system, that is caused by particle deposits, this will dislodge the particles, clean them off your turbo vanes and cause your DPF to regenerate. Unlike almost every other product which claims to be able to do this. I have used it on a 2015, 2.2 RR Evoque which started going into limp mode almost every day on holiday then got stuck in it after a spending an hour in a big autobahn jam near Stuttgart. Advice from home and the German RR dealer was to replace the DPF. €3000+. I hired a car to finish the holiday as you can't get up mountains in limp mode. I learnt about this on YouTube while I was away. After a tankful in Stuttgart with this in it, driving it back to the West Midlands and twice to London since: 1. Limp mode has not reoccurred 2. The engine is quieter and appears to be running more smoothly especially under acceleration 3. There may to be a small improvement in mileage. The forecast range seems to have increased by 20-30 miles on subsequent refuelling. I now have a can under the boot floor but am fairly confident it's fixed the DPF regeneration problem. What it won't do is repair any problems that are caused by holes, leaking pipes and faulty hose clips. I'd like to know why dealerships don't recommend it. It does exactly what it says on the can.

Cleans well.
This is a good product. The cleaning performance must be good, as there was a notable improvement with how acceleration appears to feel much smoother and responsive. I'm not sure it got everything, so I'll definitely use it again. It's very easy to use, just pour in the tank fill up and off you go. I drive a Hyundai diesel i30, not a performance car, but usually very good for fuel economy which I'm sure will improve with this product. I'm not sure I'd buy it if it was more expensive.

More snake oil?
Have a Vw golf my 5 with the Turbo Overboost fault code - it was causing the engine to go into Limp Home Mode every time I accelerated and went over about 2k rpm, so basically all the time. Was resigned to paying at best, £300 for a turbo rebuild, or at worst £900 for a new turbo. Had tried the off-the-shelf Halfords products that purport to clean the engine and its bits, but to no avail. So that was a tenner I would never see again. I was extremely reticent to paying over twenty quid for yet another bottle of Snake Oil, but I was desperate and really did not want to fork out hundreds of pounds. After extensive research, this product appeared to be worth the extra money, and several people with the exact problem I had said it worked, so I thought what the heck, I had nothing much else to loose, so ordered it. Had I not been drowning my sorrows at the time because of the thought of having to shell out hundreds on a car I'd just bought, I wouldn't have ordered this, but I was, and I did. It arrived quickly. I waited until my fuel tank was nearly empty, added the whole bottle then filled up. I then went for a drive. A hundred mile drive down the motorway (Cheltenham, if you're interested) And there was no difference at all. And I thought, oh well. It's my own fault for believing all the hype. There's no substitute for taking the turbo apart and cleaning it or replacing it. And I drowned my sorrows again that night, in a very nice hotel. (Holiday Inn) Next day, I set off back home, down and despondent. And then...... I had driven 50 miles, and something changed. The rev counter shot past the 2k mark and the car kept going. I thought i was mistaken, so I gingerly revved some more, and the car responded perfectly. So I spent the remaining 50 miles dropping down gears to get the revs right up at 60 and 70 mph, and the car worked perfectly. I was astonished and thrilled - quite genuinely it's like I have a new car. It revs freely, it changes smoothly and no longer throws up the Turbo Overboost DTC. This is the very best £25 I've ever spent. Well, except for a night in a bar in Germany a couple of years back, but that's another story. Bottom line - this is the prescription-strength, pharmacy-only answer to engine cleaners. Apparently it's secret is that it survives the combustion process to be able to carry on its cleaning chemical reaction through the whole system, where as the other off-the-(Halfords) shelf solutions are a bit to namby-pamby to cope. I've bought another two bottles, and will run them through the next two tanks in succession, and will continue to buy a bottle every 5000 or so miles as advertised. Incredibly pleased, and relived I don't have to fork out hundreds! Incidentally, if you'd like to learn about the German trip, drop me an email, or, better yet, a bottle of this stuff, and I will avail you.
