I was looking for an unobtrusive door edge guard for my Blacked out RAM and this looked like it would fit the bill. It's thin enough to not be obvious. It goes on easy and the adhesive seems to be strong. I suggest that you wipe down the door edge with rubbing alcohol before you apply it. It looks like it will protect the paint fairly well, but I was hoping it would be a bit thicker, hence the four stars.

This thing is very hard to work with and doesn't bend around any curves which makes it very difficult to install. And after installation it is quite visible due to imperfections that nobody would like to see on their car.

We have 2 white cars with some areas that are high stress, so this white tape covers and protects. I cleaned the area well before applying tape, helped to have 2 of us, to hold the door and peel off tape and get placement. It seems to be sticking well, we pressed it down nicely. Since they are older cars the white is a close match,, but nice to keep the paint from getting "out of control" sooner, than to let it peel off. A quick easy fix, and much cheaper than a paint job.
