Polti Diffusion Steam Cleaner

I already have a top of the range Karcher steam cleaner but it's a big machine and is used mostly for steam cleaning floors. Using this Polti steam cleaner is like holding a kettle and it's easy to whizz around the kitchen and bathroom to make sure that everything is hygenically clean. There are no complicated buttons or settings - just fill it with water, turn it on, wait for it to reach operating temperature and then you're off! Particularly good for cleaning around taps and for sterilising toilets and sink over-flows (the kind of places that you would usually squirt bleach into and hope for the best). No germs can survive the heat of steam.Once you've cleaned with steam there is no going back.

Really not impressed with this, lacks any real pressure or cleaning power, I will avoid Polti !

This is okay as an entry level steamer - it did take a lot of instruction reading for me to get started and after all that I must say I was slightly let down by the volume of steam it provided. It did make cleaning my oven a much easier job, (loosening the baked on bits) but I found it quite tedious in the bathroom on the tiles. A friend did my windows for me and while it was a much quicker job than the old rag and bucket - I think I will go for something larger next time.

Nice little light steam cleaner. I used it in on variety of surfaces tiles, cooker, etc and it seems to do a reasonable job. Oven tops can be quite hard to get dirt off or to loosen it this helps a lot. Also good for steaming creases out of curtains, etc. The reservoir is very small but it's not really aimed at large jobs.Overall a useful steam cleaner to have about the house.

This is a great product which really did the job. Out of the box, I feel that the documentation could have been a bit clearer - I hate those line diagrams which are never clear and I had to fumble for a few minutes to realise what the lance was and how it fitted between the hose and the attachment. However once I had sussed that everything was simple and easy. Fill with water, wait until the light goes off and clean. And it worked wonders in some grubby corners which are hard to properly clean.This is a great product which does the just, just be prepared to read the documentation and work at understanding that diagrams!

I have now tested the cleaner out in the kitchen, bathroom and on upholstery.In the kitchen, it did a good job cleaning around the taps and in the sink area. It is not bad for cleaning the glass in the oven too.In the bathroom...again, around the taps and the shower area it did not a bad job.No better than my regular cleaner though.The upholstery, I managed to remove some stains from a velour armchair that have been bugging me. It is also good to know it has also killed any germs and dust mites, and I can see the benefit of steaming your mattress to kill dust mites. So, good if you have allergies.In summary though , I would say it was a lot of hassle for what I used it for. It doesn't hold much water and then to refill you have to wait for it to cool down before you can open it. I can see how it would appeal in terms of not using any harsh chemicals that might damage the environment, but on the other hand there are a good selection of environmental cleaners now available in my local supermarket that are a lot less hassle to use. For general cleaning purposes, I have to say I don't think I will be using this in place of my regular cleaning products. I will use it for spot cleaning upholstery and for sanitising mattresses, other than that , it takes up a lot of cupboard space for a tool I don't think I'll use that much.

We have the "Big Brother" of this...a bigger one which we used for floors and the sofa..so I thought this might be useful for other places.Works like a kettle steamer...but with the added bonus of being able to add some deoderising liquid.....which is a nice touch.So ...plan was to use it to steam clean those "Difficult" wooden blinds..and the bath room tiles. There are a number of different attachments..brushes and the like...and the always useful elasticated cleaning pad.It works very efficiently and doesn't take too long to get up a full head of steam..the only issue I have with it..is that the cable is a bit short....so you are going to need it plugged in to an extension lead.. the other problem of course..is that you don't have power sockets in a bathroom! ..but fine in the kitchen The controls are very straightforward...low medium or high steam heat...and a trigger to release the steam...very easy to use.

Worst product I ever purchased got my money back.Received a defective product.
