I'm a guy, and been using messenger bags of all kinds for 25 years now. I didn't think twice about buying this one when it was priced at 20 bucks a few weeks back, ahead of a trip. My wife says it's a women's bag. I don't care about that, but if you do, the black bag is a safer bet. It's a great beach bag. The bag is well made, and you can pack quite a bit into it. I'm using it as my beach bag to haul stuff to the beach and back in Waikiki.I'll update this post if anything changes with prolonged use.
