Beautifully engineered product - but oh, those instructions!
This unit feels so solid, so well made, so rugged, and so easy to use once it is properly installed, I had to give it five stars, even though the installation was maddeningly frustrating. And this is despite the non-Thule videos I found on line (Thank Heavens!) to explain most of the installation. As previously noted, the instructions are all pictures - no words, and like the GUI of computers, only intuitive, if you already know what you're doing. Two things I'll mention that are not at all obvious. The rear wheel strap was BARELY long enough to secure my rear wheel, and even then, I couldn't use the included rubber cushion. Wellllll - then I found a video that showed that the strap was in the short position and could be moved to a different part of the cradle to make it longer! i checked the pictorial instructions, and yeah, I guess one of the pictures kind of shows that. Hmmmm. Then getting the lock core into the lock was a real struggle. With the key in the lock, it just didn't want to go. It didn't want to go without the key in the lock either. Finally, with a lot of jiggling, I got the two cores in. Then I noticed two pieces left over from the installation, an cylindrical inch long black plastic tube and a key that looked like a blank key. Turns out the tube is supposed to go into the lock where the hitch pin would ordinarily go, and that blank key is some kind of "universal key" that his supposed to be in the core when you attempt to push the core into the lock housing. Again, after discovering this, I looked closer at the pictures in the installation, and yeah, you can almost, kind of make that out - again if you already know what you're looking for. With those two caveats, it is really a great rack. But Thule - really? Can't you even post written instructions on line, with REAL WORDS? How hard would that be?Oh by the way, the rack folds up very compactly against the car, making its overall footprint in a garage quite small. THAT is really nice.

Sturdy bike rack for heavy E-bike. Easy to install and folds up nicely and compact
Overall awesome bike rack that folds up and won’t take up much extra space when not hauling a bike, so no need really to remove it from the hitch.Assembly was somewhat confusing since the written instructions are just pictures. Not extra details to explain in words, but I found YouTube videos to be very helpful.Once assembled the installation was easy enough to slide onto the hitch and lock into place with the lock and key and key provided.Holds my 55 lb E-bike easily on the road, very sturdy and little sway taking turns.Although somewhat pricey it was well worth it, highly recommend!

Amazing rack for a HEAVY fat tire eBike, so glad I'm using this instead of my Thule two bike rack
This rack was a real problem solver. I have a great two bike rack, but it turned out that I never ended up taking two bikes. But I'd have to deal with a really heavy two bike rack all the time, So I put the two bike rack under a tarp on the side of the house and I've switched to this much-easier-to-handle one-bike rack. Lower profile, easier to load the one eBike and have the bike closer to the car. Previously I would have the one eBike on the outside rack and an empty inside rack. Lots of extra weight and extra rear rack for no reason, over & over again. Relatively easy to install on the rack and then remove, I keep the provided tool on my trunk (though an adjustable crescent wrench would work fine). But as anyone who's tackled assembling a Thule rack knows, the learning curve to figure out who to put it together, despite decent instructions, is brutal. I suppose if I assembled them all the time, I'd eventually get the hang-of-it.

Sturdy enough to transport an e-bike that weighs almost 60 pounds.
It's kind of heavy but it installs and uninstalls in under a minute. I had to take the front fender off of my e-bike in order for the clamp to hold it securely.

Hands down best single bike rack you can buy
Love Thule products because they’re so durable, well made, and last forever. This rack is no exception. Everyone knows Thule doesn’t provide the best assembly directions, but this is super easy and quick to put together. About 20 minutes total. In terms of the rack itself, it comes with a lock, the bike rides very secure, the lever to raise up and lower is genius (seems simple but so few out there get it right), and it’s adjustable to fit any length of bike and tire. I’ve got a Canyon Torque downhill MTB with fairly beefy tires. Fits perfectly! Thank you Thule! Disclaimer, I love Thule products and that they all last and match. Have Thule cross bars, Thule kayak racks, Thule everything and all in all their stuff looks sharp and stands the test of time for durability.

Missing hardware
Upon opening the T1 packaging I discovered two identical bags of hardware, whereas the second bag that had most of the screws, bolts, washers, and nuts was missing. Called Thule customer service and they were not too helpful. I indicated, to the best of my knowledge, according to the instruction sheet, what was missing and they indicated some of those parts are out of stock. Returning the T1 and trying again. Waiting another week for replacement.

Great carrier
Easy to mount & dismount on the hitch and just as easy to mount & dismount the bike on it. Also nice to be able to fold the carrier out of the way and nice to have that cable lock for security, which I increase with a u-lock and cable when leaving the car/bike unattended for a while. This has to be the best carrier money can buy.

Ok 👍🏻
Im going to say straight out this is a good bike rack. Once it’s assembled and on the hitch, it folded up and down and can be taken on and off easily. I was able to load a single ebike with fat tires. It does slightly wobble when driving but with added adjustments, I feel confident I can take my bike anywhere on this rack. CONS: -the hook that secures the tire, has a mechanism (wire cord) that is suppose wrap around your frame and hook back on for ‘added security’…I mean it comes with a lock and key but it doesn’t really lock anything?! It has actually come apart multiple times while driving. So I’ve added my own wrap lock and a ratchet strap for my own piece of mind. SUGGESTION: Would be even better if this model came with a ramp. My e-bike is 60-70 lbs and lifting one off the ground to load isn’t always ideal. My Solution: -2x leather bike carrying straps and a wheel strap stabilizer.

Great for eBikes!
Easy to install and simple to load/unload the bike. I have a 60 lb electric mountain bike with 3" tires and this works very well. Out of several other models I tested, this is by far the best.
