Oster 076926-696-000 Universal Comb Attachment

I wanted to give this 5 stars because I love Oster and how easily and securely this comb attachment hooks on to the clippers. Great design. But I just can't with how easy it is for the comb teeth to break.I cut my own hair so I have my own Oster clippers at home. And occasionally I might drop my clippers. Well my clippers dropped once and just from that one drop one of the teeth just snapped off. The teeth are just way too fragile, it's some kind of hard plastic that's used and it breaks with not much force. Maybe that type of material helps in cutting hair but it's terrible for durability and longevity. You accidentally drop your clippers or the comb attachment and you could lose comb attachment teeth right then and there. I've never had that kind of issue with attachments from other manufacturers in the past that use more flexible, durable material. And those are cheaper brands I'm talking about. So for this reason I had to knock off two stars. It's not fun having to spend another 10 bucks to buy a new attachment just from one clipper drop. But the attachment does work well and it's just what you need if you're looking for the smallest Oster clipper comb attachment.

This is the 4th one of these I had to purchase because the combs keep breaking off. OK its my fault, but I did end up purchsing a new trimmer so I don't have to worry about it anymore. If the4y made these in something more sturdy, like stainless I would have gone for it.

Not much to say. It fits tightly (takes some force to attach it). Does what it is supposed to do. It is a replacement for an identical one with some broken teeth and it cost a LOT more than the original.

These do not attach as well the originals, and fight the adjustable arm's movement.I was hoping for more from this company.(Their clippers are super! It's just these replacement guards. Ick.)

This is a very awesome piece for blending a fade.

With the Oster Fast Feed clippers, these are annoyingly difficult to put on, as the metal panel with prongs that slides to "open" for the clippers to enter, gets levered out of the plastic to an extent that it is really hard to slide. I am quite sure these will break on me soon enough with the amount of leverage and force I have to apply to put these on. Also, most importantly, these leave a HUGE gap between the guard and the clippers flat surface to the point where it's not really a true # as advertised, and will also be time consuming to use to fade. I would say these should not be advertised as universal if they can't even function well on one of the more popular set of clippers by Oster. I will be returning them. Apparently the Andis 1410 Magnetic Combs actually work on the Fast Feeds (check YouTube), so I will be getting those instead and encourage the same for others with the same clippers.

I had this exact comb for a few years and the tips started to break after 3-4 years of use, I finally found the exact same replacement on amazon! Great universal fit to most shavers. For $7, my previous one lasted me at least 3 years so $7 is great deal!

I was worried about a universal attachment to my clippers. It ended up working out well. A little concerned about the future tension to holding the clippers, but until then I'm satisfied
