Hello, does this fold flat for storage?

Yes the dustpan folds flat and the set can be hung on a wall hook

do the handles screw into the pan and broom head ? ie can the handles be separated from the pan and brush ?

No they don't although the pan handle does detach from the pan, most often when you don't want it to. Candidly, I have been really disappointed with this pan and brush set, it is flimsey and I had expected better quality from Addis.

Approx.8 inches which is fine. The problem is the length of the handle. The broom is about three inches too short so it is necessary to bend whilst using it. If you are less than 5'7" it would be ok.

Hi. Just measured mine for you. Just for the handle, length is appx 32 inches/81cms. Overall measurement of the dustpan & handle from flat on the floor is 3ft/91cms appx. Hope this helps.
