Sherpa Wheelchair Footrest Cover

These footrest covers prevent my elderly loved one from hurting her ankles and lower legs on the hard plastic foot rest corners. Because of their bulk, they also provide a softer and wider surface for her feet. I would’ve preferred black over white but black was not offered at the time of purchase.

Product was exactly as described. Fit perfectly on the footrest. There ARE 2 footrest in the package. Great product, soft and fuzzy. I would buy it again!

I purchased these to use on the feet plate’s-rest of my manual chair. Unless I kept socks and shoes on all day my feet and toes were taking a little beating if I was dealing with leg spasms or extra problems with transferring to/from my chair. The first problem with these covers is the size of them. It wouldn’t slide on a plate all the way to secure the Velcro. The second problem is, if I can’t secure the Velcro any more than I am able to the cover does not stay in place unless I sit perfectly still with no movement from my legs or feet. When the cover moves from the plate it is not only aggravating but it could also become a hazard when you are trying to move to or from your chair. So, I completely cut the Velcro part off of the cover and used my own Velcro that I bought off of Amazon to Velcro the cover onto each footrest. It only took a minute and even on my worst day’s of muscle spasm’s the covers are secure and offer a nice little cushioning that protects my feet. It will wear down before long but it’s cheap enough that I can easily come back to order another pair as long as I can keep some Velcro handy. Hence the reason I am here now. By the way, after having to use a wheelchair for the last 15 or so years, I wish I would have realized just how handy a little pack of Velcro could be a long time ago! Thanks to Amazon for having literally everything from A-Z. It’s my new favorite “tool”! Hahaha :))
