If you want a smart phone then don't buy this. However if like me you wanted a rugged, easy to use phone with some really useful features then this is the one for you. Lives in the pocket of my overalls where it gets bashed and knocked about and so far it is unmarked. Ring tones are not that brilliant but that is my only criticism. If you are a hill walker, sailor, or any other outdoor type person then I would strongly recommend you to consider this great phone. I already had a cordura case for another phone which helps to protect it even further but it seems indestructable. Why have I botherered with other inferior products before!

Solid phone .....and does what it says on the pack ! Tough and very robust with a good range of functions. Good size buttons,screen and battery life. Wanted a tough no nonsense phone and this is it !

Excellent solid phone. A friend had one, which was tested thoroughly one night by inebriated pals and they couldn't break it. This one has lived up to it's name.

handy for wet weather

The overall quality of this handset is superb. Had this a while, but after a month of use I had to get another phone. The fatal flaw is that the volume level heard and sent by this handset renders it virtually unusuable. People on the other end can't hear you speak, and you won't hear them. You can forget about using it in speaker phone mode. Had a friend who had one of these and he had the same problem. Suspect it is related to the waterproofing of the handset.

What a nice thing it is to find something that does what it claims. Simple and easy to use. I have dropped it in puddles, dropped it down stairs and even used the high powered torch. I have even bought my son one and he uses his in the shower, just to show off. Great product if all you need is a tough phone.

The phone is fine exceept for a couple of things-- 1) The torch is on when I don't want it to be on like when I'm carrying it in my hand along with other items. Can it be disconnected? 2) The route to sending a message is tedious especially adding recipients. The movement from one screen to the next is slow and tiresome.Apart from that it does exactly what it says it does. It is rugged, reliable and battery life is good.

Es un teléfono realmente fuerte. Se me ha caído varias veces al suelo, ha llevado varios golpes. Trabajo diariamente con él en el sector de la construcción y es totalmente recomendable. El sistema operativo es un poco vetusto pero las funciones que yo necesito las cumple a la perfección. Totalmente recomendable. Un móvil prácticamente a prueba de bomba.

C'est le téléphone (quasi) indestructible de chez Samsung dont j'avais besoin pour mes activités mouvementées. Pas question pour moi d'utiliser un écran tactile ou autre gadget fragile et hors de prix.Après comparaison des données des fabriquants, les autres téléphones réputés solides se déchargent beaucoup plus vite.J'ai choisi le modèle gris et noir parce que tout le monde a le rouge et noir, certes plus joli mais avec un risque de confusion!

Très solide et étanche, il possède toutes les fonctions qu'on peut attendre d'un téléphone moderne (MP3, radio, appareil photo, etc …). Il ne manque que la connection internet …Et la navigation dans les menus pour utiliser toutes les fonctions est particulièrement peu intuitive ! De longues heures de recherches en perspective !

Ich wollte dieses Handy schon früher mal kaufen. Beim ersten mal - Spätsommer 2011 - habe ich mich aber durch eine Rezension ablenken lassen, die da lautete: das Ding hat nicht annähernd die Sprachqualität wie das Nokia 6151. Also habe ich mir das Nokia 6151 UMTS gebraucht gekauft - ich hielt es für legendär.So ein Unsinn. Vor dem Nokia hatte ich ein Bosch aus dem Jahr 2000 - perfekte Bedienerführung, logische Menüs gut lesbares Monochrome Display, perfekte Sprachqualität (auch noch in 2011).Das Nokia 6151 UMTS (aus 2006) war ein Desaster dagegen. Unlogische Menüführung, merkwürde SMS Handhabung (Datum und Uhrzeit bei Eingangs-SMS unklar, Taste "MNO" war "mnôo" trotz Sprecheinstellung DEUTSCH, nach dem Senden einer SMS kehrte das Gerät nicht ins Hauptmenu zurück) Der Akku hielt nur einen Tag, ein neuer Akku verlängerte das auf vielleicht auf 3-5 Tage.Dieses Samsung nun, das ist Spitze! Es hat eine Akkulaufzeit von mindestens 2 Wochen (es sei denn man benutzt die Taschenlampe ausversehen in der Handytasche und merkt es nicht, aber dagegen gibt es eine Tastensperre / Wie lang die Akkulaufzeit ist, konnte ich nach 2 Wochen noch nicht ermitteln, es läuft noch immer), es hat eine echt intuitive und wirklich leicht zu verstehende Menüführung und man kann sehr gut damit Telefonieren - Sprachqualität ist gut (nicht so wie beim Bosch 909 aus 2000, aber okay für die heutige Zeit).Es liegt gut in der Hand und fühlt sich gut an (besser als das olle Nokia 6151 UMTS).Mir persönlich gefällt die schlichte Tastatur Beschriftung, die komplett einfarbig (auch ohne grüne und Rote Tasten) daherkommt.Einzig - aber das ist kein Minuspunkt - zur all der Schlichtheit passt das quietschende, "bonbon"-artige Hauptmenü nicht. Das ist eindeutig an Mädchen um die 13 Jahre gerichtet :)Aber das macht es halt nur sympathisch.Absolute stärke sind die Menüführung und die Akkulaufzeit.Im Menu richtet sich immer alles nach dem gerade markierten Objekt und der gewählten "Operation".Es ist immer das, was der Benutzer gerade will und was er braucht.Markiert man eine SMS, und sagt "löschen" so fragt bietet das Handy-"ausgewählte"-"mehrere" (führt zu einer weiteren Auswahl der zu löschenden SMS)-"alle"Diese Objektorientierung zieht sich weitestgehend durch die ganze Bedienung.Das UKW-Radio, den MP3-Player und die Kamera hab ich noch nicht benutzt, daher keine Angabe dazu.Einziger Minuspunkt:Betätigt man einfach so ohne Menüauswahl den großen, mittigen SET-/ oder Enter-Knopf , dann will das Handy gleich ins Internet und eine WAP-Seite aufrufen. Diese Funktion lässt sich nicht wegkonfigurieren. Einer etwas zu "heikle" Funktion für die Größte aller Tasten, wie ich finde.Ein weiterer Punkt: Ein Freund hat mir seine neue Handynummer gesimmst:Mir ist es zwar schon gelungen aus der SMS die Nummer zu extrahieren - sehr bequem auch die Auswahl wenn mehrere Telefonnummern in der SMS gefunden werden - aber mir gelang es nicht diese meinem Telefonbuch zu zuführen.Aber dieser Anwendungsfall, dass ein Mensch mir seine neue Handynummer simmst, ist so selten, da sich da ausnahmsweise mal auf Papier und Stift zurück gegriffen habe.Urteil:In der heutigen Zeit ist in der Elektronik nichts perfekt. Aber dieses hier ist nah dran!Volle Punkte.

Les trois principales qualités de ce téléphone pour un mari travaillant dans la menuiserie (donc poussière!)Facile d'utilisation, encore faut-il persévérer pour insérer la carte SIM et la batterie, car la petite trappe au dos à ouvrir n'est pas forcément très facile à actionner. Dommage également qu'il n'y ait qu'une notice en Anglais et Allemand, alors que ce produit est largement vendu aussi en France! A moins de parler l'Anglais ou l'Allemand, bon courage pour découvrir toutes les fonctionnalités du téléphone! Mais le menu est assez facile. La navigation centrale est pratique, mais la touche pour se déplacer vers le haut ne répond pas toujours du premier coup.Mis à part ces petits bémols (d'où ma note de 4/5) ce téléphone demeure un très bon produit, de bonne prise en mains, costaud et étanche (eau et poussière), ce qui n'est pas négligeable pour des professionnels du bâtiment, et apparemment ils sont quelques uns à en posséder un!
