Works surprisingly well
This little gadget is a game changer! Why, let me explain (sorry, long review! but worth reading)Having had a major issues with neck/shoulder pain and neck going into spasm and countless treatments from various specialists over recent years I took a long hard look at myself and wondered if actually the root cause is my posture: after 30+ years as a computer programmer and leaning forward over the desk whilst coding for hours and hours I’m guessing it is!I read the reviews of this Lumo Lift and wondered if it was worth purchasing as a few negative reviews and issues with the item, but I decided I would and see how I got on.I sit at a desk for 8+ hours each day and this device really identifies just how often and how quickly I get into a bad posture position. Within minutes it starts buzzing to let me know I’m slouching forward into bad posture. After a few hours of use the muscles in the centre of my back are aching and aching just proving to me how weak they are and how little I have used them over the years to maintain good posture. As soon as it buzzes you sit up straight and within a few mins it’s buzzing again. It takes an hour or two to realise how much you need to concentrate on sitting with good posture. It’s been 2 weeks now and although the centre back muscles are still very achy (guessing it will take a while to develop them) the neck and shoulder pain is getting easier and easier as the muscles in my neck are eventually getting a rest as my posture is correcting and they are not being used all day long to support my slouching head. There are various negatives about the device not working well with certain clothing and the sticky pads being way too expensive. This was a concern for me, so, I purchased some of that “body tape” ladies use to secure clothing to their skin – you can get it here for about £6-£8 for 5 metres!!!! I stick approx. 1 to 2 cm of tape on the back of the lumo lift, peal off the backing and stick it to my chest just below my collar bone. It lasts all day long, doesn’t move at all, gives very accurate readings and is actually tricky to peal off my skin at the end of an 8 hour shift! So my advice, is buy the tape and stick it to your skin for a fraction of the price. It still makes me giggle how easy and quickly I slip into bad posture. For example; standing whilst the kettle boils to make a coffee it suddenly starts buzzing and you realise that yes, I’ve started leaning forward. 30 years of bad posture won’t correct itself overnight so I can see this device being used daily for months as I learn. The only other advice I would give is; when you get up and walk about and then sit back at your desk – get back into your good posture position and then tap the device to reset it as it can get confused when you have walked around.Hope this helps anyone with concerns on If it works or How well it works! Also the app for the phone is amazing and has great features to let you know how well you are doing and exercises to build the muscles for better posture! Here’s to having trouble free neck and shoulders!!

Great little device - has helped with my back pain
I sit at a desk for most of the day and usually with bad posture. The device is really simple to use. You just put it under your clothes. They provide a magnet (plus a spare one) to help hold it in place. You set your "target posture" by pressing the device for 2 seconds when it will vibrate. Then go about your day. As soon as you slip into a bad posture for over 30 seconds (you can change these settings to longer if you wish), it will vibrate alerting you to get into good posture. Now, I have become so much more aware of my posture, even if I am not wearing it. I only wear it during my work day. I take it off just before I leave to go home. I feel like my back pain had reduced a lot now.Would highly recommend.

It does what it is supposed to do. Haven't ...
It does what it is supposed to do. Haven't had a tired and sore back since I started using it. I did however think it would be more sensitive. It picks up when you are leaning forwards or backwards but not sensitive enough to pick up that shoulders are not pulled back. It keeps me aware of posture and hopefully I will remember to pull shoulders back with time. Sometimes the software is glitchy for Android but sure that will be fixed in time seeing as it only launched a few months ago.

Kept not working
First one didn't work and the second replacement worked for a little while. Sent back. The magnet was strong , it is difficult to get the right place for it, but when working definitely makes a difference in keeping posture correct. Shame they keep breaking

Sufficient and beautiful
Great little device to keep my right posture! Apart from a beautiful design, it works fantastic. The little buzz it gives is just enough to make me remember to sit or stand straight up. I didn't know I had to correct it that many times a day! The muscle pain in my neck and shoulders is, after three days of use, a lot less. The app is very clear and easy.Nice that I can wear it either hidden or as a jewel, with different colours.

Technically working but don't expect results
Technically, it works, sort of. But it's not accurate, not ergonomic? But more importantly after months of use I did not see any sensible modification of my behaviour using that device. Unfortunate as it is the whole point.

Stopped working after a month and a half?!
HelloI was very happy with Lumo Lift until 2 days ago it stopped working.I ve noticed it wouldnt buzz when I slouch. And after resetting it several times to memorise the right posture it would go green as usual but then not work at all once I slouch. I did try it on a very snuggly cloth too. Very upset. Any way I could be assisted with this?

This wearable is not a miracle. Anyway, it helps a lot. My attention is on, and I can correct my posture. When the night comes, a lot of minutes in the correct posture. Sorry for my english. 🙂
