ROCK STAR!
I don't do reviews often, but have to share this one. This camera is good. Solar is solid. Charges up as stated. I used to have those cheaper off shore knock offs that amazon sells but they never supported the 5.2GHZ channel, only the 2.4GHZ channel so they kept disconnecting and drove me up the wall. This one pairs quickly with your 5.2 GHZ WIFI and unlike the knockoffs who direct you to a 3rd party app, this camera has its own app made by its own dev. So check it out if you are looking to replace aging equipment. This is connected to my WIFI and the up to StarkLink. No LAG. They have SW clients for windows, IOS, and android

Very pleased with the product
Very pleased with the purchase. Working perfectly to monitor a new owl nest in our tree. I climbed ladder and disturbed the owl slightly but got it in a perfect location. Here are some key points: Battery: I am getting 8 days with no solar attachment. It’s in a tree so very little sunlight and the squirrels would just chew the wire. This is less than advertised but exceeded my needs. I just dangled a power cord down the tree and put the USB C adapter in a waterproof container. Then I just plug it in once a week. That is with about 100 detections a day recording each for 8 seconds. Your mileage with your settings will vary. Charges back to 100% in 6 hours. Maybe someday I will have a use for the solar panel. Storage: I have used 12GB in two weeks with 100 detections a day each for 8 seconds. It’s a 128GB card…..way overkill. Infra-Red: The Infrared at night is the best clarity for my use looking into the dark nest. I was not entirely sure looking at the specs that it had infra-red capability. Sensitivity: It took a few days fiddling with the settings to get the right triggers. The non-detection mask is critical for avoiding false triggers with leaves and such. Capture: Keep in mind that these battery powered cameras cannot capture the first couple seconds of activity like a wired NVR system can. To save battery they go into idle mode and wake up on detection. I see some complaints about this but I can’t ding the product for this unless I was OK with a 6 hour battery life to stay active all the time. NVR Integration: In short, no, you cannot record the recordings to your NVR (if you have one). But as a consolation, the camera shows up in the phone and desktop app, right next to the other cameras. Just be aware the recordings are coming from the SD card on the camera, and take a little more time to retrieve. Water: We have a couple torrential downpours. No issue yet after two weeks. Very Pleased.

The first Reolink product I've ever been ENTIRELY disappointed with.
First off, in order to make this camera in any way reasonably useful, you've got to buy their Home Hub or Home Hub Pro, an additional purchase that they don't tell you upfront is kinda sorta necessary for this camera to work as intended and advertised, even if you have your own NVR setup. Using it in standalone mode with any other NVR is terribly unreliable. So, I ended up buying the damn Home Hub, too, creating a second redundant NVR on my network for no good reason. Second, their claims of four-month battery life is if the camera never does a damn thing ever. The puny-ass 5-watt solar panel they include with the camera is worthless and cannot sustain the camera for 24-hour operation with even the lightest of usage settings in anything other than the blaring hot sun of an 18-hour desert day. I've had this camera installed for two weeks now; it dies every evening by 8pm, and doesn't power back on again until nearly noon the next day, despite getting 6+ hours of direct TEXAS sun every day! I've watched the battery levels drop while the sun was blaring directly at the panel. It's absurd that they thought this panel was enough, combined with the sneaky hub requirements, and I feel scammed. In testing, and then finally getting around to installing this camera, I've elapsed my 30 day return window. So I'm stuck with it. My options are to run a power cable all the way out to the camera (defeating the damned point of a solar powered camera), or install a larger solar panel, which Reolink will happily sell me for an upcharge. I should have just installed another POE camera and been done with it. I'll never buy another one of Reolink's wireless products again. I've been a customer for years, and their wired products are excellent. Avoid this wireless garbage; it's a rabbit hole of upsells and pure disappointment.

Great option when wires can’t be ran
These cameras are great. I have put many in. High quality video and easy to install. Reolink app is on point. I’ve installed some with sd card and some on a Home Hub Pro.

Love it! No complaints !
My first Reolink purchase. Got it for my barn, which has Starlink WiFi. My horse is having a baby any day and I can check on her from my bed at night, Or anytime, anywhere .( If I’m at the grocery store). It was worth the purchase and I’ve had no issues. I can check the battery power as well. Its been pretty cloudy here and I’ve taken it down once to recharge the batteries due to lack of sunshine. I can manually record/ video the screen and save it to my phone. It does NOT have a live stream save, Like I can’t go back and see what happened at a certain time. I believe it has a slot for s/d card tho, so that would work. This also has an option of SIM card instead of WiFi I believe. It has motion detection notifications, a speaker, great night vision, a flashlight, camera can swivel,(which I can run from my phone if my horse is out of view. I can turn it to see my yard as well. ) No complaints!! I can run it easily once I figured it out and I’m not technically inclined.

Great solar powered PTZ camera with RTSP support for smart home setups
Set this up about six months ago and it has been a reliable outdoor camera. The solar panel keeps the battery topped up even during shorter winter days in my area, which was the main thing I was worried about before buying. The RTSP support through the Reolink Hub is a huge plus if you want to integrate with Home Assistant or a third-party NVR. Video quality is genuinely good and night vision is solid. The PTZ auto tracking works after you learn the settings. My only complaint is the app UI is a bit busy, but the camera hardware itself is excellent.

Solid support, glitches in the matrix.
Updated review: While basic camera review remains the same - wasn't performing up to my expectations, I will add that Reolink saw the negative review and contacted and has worked with me to replace the camera and get it working well enough. I did have to pay to return the RMA. Even with the new camera I still experience quite a bit of clipped events. For instance, a vehicle drives by, and the motion is detected but the recording only shows the last 6-7 seconds. Since the replacement camera supplied was an Atlas, I'm going to suggest that this problem might be more related to the NVR software than the cameras themselves - or there is a more general flaw. - The other point of the camera taking in water - I haven't seen that again. In general these cameras are high quality but there are some glitches. If the cameras just captured events from beginning to end, then they'd be 5 stars. Original review (2 stars): I have other Reolink cameras and NVR, so I have some comparisons. I added this to an existing POE system. Generally the features of this camera read well, but in practice it didn't work very well. 1 out of 10 motion detected were actually saved to the NVR, the majority it just recorded a black/no video for the length of the motion event. When it did record the quality is sub par compared to my 12MP cameras. I did not add an SD card (as the NVR should record the videos). However, not recording the motion events made it pretty useless, and then 90 days after install had a big rain - and so much for IP64 - it's now just a broken non functional waterlogged paperweight that looks like a camera.

overall great camera, but please read about the battery life.
We currently have 6 cameras on our property. We like the ease of use and functioning of the cameras. I like to be able to look on my phone while at work and see if I have a delivery at my gate or if an animal got out. I have had these since 2019 or 2020 (a while), so I feel I can give a honest review. Setting up these cameras into your mobile device or computer can be kind of a pain, but once you have them set up, they are great! The vidoes are of good quality, and you can change the settings to be clear. Night videos can be a little harder to see clearly, if there is an animal running across the camera area it will sometimes come in like a blur. (I have 4 German shorthaired pointers that tend to do zoomies in the back yard area). We have 8 acres that we have cameras throughout. We did install a wifi extender so all cameras could be reached. I have had delivery people show up at my gate and I was able to communicate with them from work through the camera's, there is a lag, but not bad. (I will also talk to my dogs when I am at work as well, they don't care for that! LOL) The biggest problem I have had with these cameras have been battery life. It seems that after 2 years of service, the batteries tend to not hold charges. (There is a 2 year warranty, usually on them) Also, during cold weather, they tend to not want to charge via solar nor power cord. Their customer support is one thing that keeps me buying these camera's. They have been more than generous with problem cameras at all ages. They will communicate with me until I am satisfied with the outcome.

Best solar camera
Fantastic product and brand, I've been using the 2k for years and had to get the new 4k version. It has many features and is easy to setup and install. I highly recommend relink for your security needs

Huge time saver.
We started with one of these cameras to monitor cattle approaching their calving dates. Checking for animals in labour to catch problems early is a life saver. Checking usually involves a lot of getting up in the night and not wandering far from home in the day. We can now check with the cell phone from anywhere at any time. We now have six of these cameras. Three to monitor the cattle and three to monitor the sheep. The cameras work well in the dark but not so well when it snows, when there's freezing rain, or even in heavy rain. I had to set up a wide area 5 GHz Wi-Fi network to cover the barn yards but that wasn't difficult. The cameras work very well. I truned off all the alarms and security features - they just consusme battery energy. I thought not having an analogue zoom capability would be a problem but the 4K resolution is more than enough to monitor the animals in the field. The 2K version is less expensive and works well in the barns. Overall this has been a fantastic time and sleep saver!
