Hammerite 5084884 Direct to Rust Metal Paint - Smooth Blue Finish 250ML

Excellent product - easily 5 stars. Applied directly to some rusty old grey patio chairs after I gave them a scrub. Went on easily and now they are dry the finish looks great. I thought this paint was worth a try before I bought a new set of patio furniture. So glad I did. 2 small tins will do 4 patio chairs and a table.

Paint performed exactly as expected, it was easy to apply following clear concise instructions on the tin.

This is a great product with a lovely shiny finish. It is misleading how far a small tin will go but it does go a long way. Consider that this will make a mess it is thinner than normal paint your possibly used to and any drips, over painted areas will be impossible to clean off. Tape off the areas you don't want painted and you must put down a sheet of some sort inside or out before use or it will look like a 20p coins are stuck all over the place :)

So easy to use. This stuff is so good for a novice. I refreshed a rusty wrought iron gate in less than an hour (with a rubbish brush). I like the sheen on the final result and only one coat was needed with no prior prep (I did a cursory wipe to remove cobwebs only). I did use half of the tin so you do need quite a bit of it (it’s more watery than other paints I’ve used) for good coverage but worth it value wise.

Bought this to do a job making my metal garage door a lot smarter and this has done good job of improving and changing the colour of the door, just need a hammered finish now
