Twinlab Norwegian Cod Liver Oil - Supports Heart Health, Joint Health, and Brain Health - 12 fl oz

This has been an excellent supplement which I add to my dogs food. It has helped strengthen their immune system and they like the taste. I didn’t rate flavor because I haven’t tasted it myself. (I take my cod liver oil in capsules.)

Good quality product

I have compared how I respond to several of the different flavors and different brands of the cod liver oil. The study on asthma reduction/elimination and vitamin d was what got me looking at the cod liver oil since it is a good source of such. I am finding that this plain type of cod liver oil, fishy tasting yes, but that is what it is people, has the best results in reducing my asthma as per the studies going on involving vitamin d and asthma reduction. I am taking about 4,000 units a day which is about 2 tablespoons in the morning and 2 tablespoons in the evening. I am not suggesting this as a dose for anyone but it was one thought for those with asthma. It was felt that asthma issues could be eliminated with a daily dose of vitamin d. And yes if you got alot of sun it would be even better. I've had asthma all my life and my dad did also so this study really has my attention as well as my seeing some differences in breathing issues. This particular brand seems to be making the biggest difference for me as it isn't modified by another flavor or altered in anyway. It is just plain fishy tasting cod liver oil. So far I've been really impressed with it as it is cheap and much less expensive than the yummy lemon flavored that I've also tried. For results with asthma my experience has been the unflavored does the job the studies were reporting. If I use a flavored one, my results are less. I like breathing better and being able to get thru a night without inhalers. It also makes working and living easier since breathing is under better control without expensive pharmacy drugs or pharmacy inhalers. I can handle the taste if it gives me a life of breathing back. When the sun isn't out it is a great back up for the vitamin d. I just keep it around all the time. It is also thought that the omegas which are in cod liver oil would help the weight issues of people as studies are going on (early stages so no results being reported) that hint that omega shortages could be playing a role in the overweight issues of people. I find it taking this oil that I am not putting on extra weight; I am actually seeing my pants getting a little looser which I find interesting. I don't have a weight problem but I watch it so that I don't. Cod liver oil has many benefits. I highly recommend this brand and plain.

It's Pure Cod Liver Oil & tastes good like Cod Liver OIl SHOULD! I wish I could live without it, BUT I can not seem to do THAT & hang on to my TEETH! I am 70 & still have my teeth, but sometimes when I have not been careful enough, my TEETH get LOOSE! Though I have never had a tooth pulled, I have gotten Loose teeth resulting in a Gum Boil & two teeth died from that! --A DISASTER! So NOW! When ever my teeth get Loose, or I Fear they will, I eat Greens that have a 5 Calcium to 1 Phosphorus RATIO & I (= Kale, Turnip Greens, Mustard Greens, Collard Greens,) & as seasoning & for vitamin D & A to help assimilate & metabolize the Calcium in the Greens to make my teeth grow back in Solid! I dribble drops of TwinLab Cod Liver Oil on my Greens! I can't live without it & hang onto my TEETH! It also helps with any Joint or Bone problems that I have had. It's Great Stuff & the Price is Right! Why oh why did you guys add synthetic vitamins to this? When I purchased this back in April, the only ingredient was cod liver oil and nothing else. It was the best bang for your buck. Now it’s synthetic crap and I can’t purchase this product again. I have tried Rositas CLO and Nutrapro’s CLO. I’ll be honest Rositas is the purest but SO expensive. It has the thickest viscosity when refrigerated which lets me know it has more saturated fats in it. This cod liver oil would only get slightly thicker. That makes me question if it is genuine or not as well as the “new” added ingredients. Such as soy. Did the bottle I purchase have those ingredients in it and you guys didn’t change the label? Guess I’ll never know. Either way I’ll never buy this brand again since it’s quality has been compromised.

I grew up taking this product however I now have kidney problems it’s not recommended to take it if you have kidney problems

This is just unflavored oil. For fish oil, it really is mild flavored, but I'm not used to taking a spoonful of oil. It is a very fine oil that doesn't cling to the mouth and I don't get a fishy flavor or a come-back of fish.I liked the Mint Emulsified Cod Liver Oil. The Orange Emulsified Cod Liver Oil is OK. I'm really having trouble finding these products. I guess they got bought out or something. I tried the Swanson Mint Cod Liver Oil and I didn't enjoy that.I don't know what to do. I can't find the product that I want (Mint Emulsified Cod Liver Oil) and this is really expensive.

The cod liver oil is fresh. I take i tsp of this followed by 1tsp virgin coconut oil . It gives me more energy and clears my skin. I refrigerate it.
