👠 Elevate Your Everyday Style!
Orthaheel Women's Kate II Lace-Up Shoes - mesh keeps you cool, while orthotic support keeps you comfortable With or without the removable orthotic insole, this synthetic leather and mesh lace-up delivers optimum comfort. Leading Australian podiatrist Phillip Vasyli invented Orthaheel to provide heel pain relief while improving your body alignment, posture and walking gait. Just like the tires on a car, improper alignment of feet can cause wear and tear to other parts of the body... like the knees, hips and lower back. The ingenuity is in the Tri-Planar Motion Control System insole with contoured arch support and a deep heel cup, which help reclaim your foot's natural alignment, enabling feet, ankles and legs to function effectively as intended.

It's a Matter of Preference
I have to admit that when I first got these, the arch did not feel like it was in the right place. I just had to break them in. They are lightweight so when I first tried them on, I felt like they were not going to serve their purpose. I have plantars fasciitis and was worried but found that they worked out fine. (This was my first pair after being diagnosed with plantars fasciitis). I did sense a change in that I felt it supported my feet and felt it aligned me. I did not change or remove the arch support. You may find them hard and may want to change them out. I felt that the hardness focuses on aligning your feet. They are lightweight and I do feel like I can feel the ground sometimes. I would say you can wear them all day but I would say most of the day. You'll start to feel the ground beneath you if you wear them too long I have found other shoes that feel more comfortable inside and don't really wear them anymore.

love the footbed
I wear a size 8 but ordered these in 8.5 due to other reviews and they fit fine. The size 8 would probably be too small. I like the look of these shoes, and the footbed is very helpful.I wish Orthoheel would put a bit more padding in the bottom of their shoes. Also, it's winter now and these are not for cold weather but will probably be great in warmer days. I'm wearing them inside for work so haven't actually worn them outside yet. I have an odd problem with my second toe on one foot and it's hard to find shoes that don't irritate that. These are doing pretty well with that so far. But for general foot support, these footbeds are wonderful.

Awful!!!
This brand shoes I typically wear a 7 1/2 in the sandals and flip flops, after I read the reviews decided to go up a size than my normal, but even with that they are snug. Plus the pictures show this shoe to look like a bowling type shoe/semi retro, when I got them out of the box and out them on, they look like old people shoes. Even though this brand I am usually very comfortable with, this shoe will not be in my normal rotation, it will be a last resort shoe.

An excellent light weight alternative to a walking shoe
I love Orthaheel shoes and have many pairs of sandals and three pairs of walking shoes. I ordered the Brooke slip-on but returned it because it was impossible to get on - with or without socks. So I decided to try the Kate II lace-up. It is lightweight, stylish, and offers the same comfort and support that I've come to expect from Orthaheel. I love wearing these with jeans and cords for everyday wear. The only drawback is that they do run small. I usually wear a 6.5, but order a 7 in the walking shoe to allow for gym socks and to give me room for a workout routine. The Kate II, size 7, fits perfectly with a crew sock or wool trail sock. It would not have fit if I'd ordered my regular size. But I wouldn't go up a full size as some reviewers suggested.

returned shoes
I returned these shoes because I have no padding on the bottom of my feet and the shoes didn't either they were uncomfortable to walk in.for me, I did got a 1/2 size larger than I usually get and they fit fine. My feet hurt a lot the next day so I will not try these shoes again.

I really love the shoe
I really love the shoe. However the size was way too small. All my other orthaheel shoes are size 6 but I couldn't even get my foot in this shoe. Unfortunately, they do not have the shoe in a large enough size. I would recommend the shoe but not the sizing. I also had to pay the shipping both ways.

orthaheel shoes
This is my second pair of Orthaheel shoes. These fit well, as do the others, but they are a little stiff and are not as cushioned as the first pair. Still trying to break them in but there is not much support.
