I wasn't aware it is for hard/wooden floors. I thought I could steam the carpets with it.quite useless

Stopped working after 18 months
When this worked it was great. Lots of steam, easy to push. After 18 months it stopped producing steam, Vax not interested as outside of 12 month warranty.

Only worth it if its free!
As others on here I got mine free with the carpet cleaner I bought. I have now just thrown out my 4th one of these. They last about 2-3 months and then pack up. You sent it back and they replace it .Managed 4 in the year before the years guarantee ran out. I'm off to get a Kircher steam mop now ,they are so much better.Judging by the reviews of this vax mop they must have so so many of these things returned. Its like a well oiled machine , they send you a label out and you box it up and they then send you another.I feel sorry for anyone who paid 50-60 pounds for one of these garbage mops!

Very good basic steam cleaner.
We recieved this for free from Vax with the purchase of a carpet cleaner. Very impressed, so far only used it as a handheld steamer and it works very well, cleaned up tile grouting and oven hob perfectly. The steam lasted longer than the 15 minutes stated, but t's very easy to refil so it wouldn't matter if it ran out anyway.

Total rubbish .Contacted Vax .waiting to hear back
Attempted to clean bathroom tiles.Not a bit of it .I aimed it a tiny cobweb and it didnt move it so the grouting stood no chance

Waste of money
Wish I had read the reviews before buying this piece of useless junk doesn't work properly you get either a flood or little steam floor glider useless scratches floor,DONT BUY IT it's going back luckily got mine from Argos so don't have to fight with customer services,USELESS

Does not last
Delivered in April free with the purchase of the Vax carpet cleaner. It worked well for the first few times but now has stopped steaming. Worked my way through all the suggestions with the Customer Care team but still fails to work. Not reliable. Would not recommend

Rubbish
Got this free from vax I am now hoping the carpet cleaner is much better this is useless more steam from a kettle after trying everything for more than two hours went in the rubbish bin
