Q: Is it heavy? Sounds like it's sturdy and well built, just wondering if it needs muscle to pick it up (with and without water in)!

It's certainly heavier than a standard plastic-built kettle, particularly when filled. If that's a potential issue particularly reference small children or individuals with wrist problems then the difference is worth noting at this stage.

Q: Does it come with a uk or eu plug when shipped to sweden? does it have any plastic parts on the inside?

It is a super kettle and comes with a UK plug,no plastic inside except the filter.We love it.

Q: How quiet is it and does it become louder after a few months of use?

I have had this kettle for over a year and there has been no change in the time taken to boil or the noise during boiling. I find the noise acceptable and do not have to increase the volume on my radio during boiling, total boiling time for a full kettle is around 4 mins so it is over fairly quickly. I hope this feedback helps your buying decision.
