This is excellent. Have used for both of my children who have each really suffered with chicken pox. My 6yr old has it at the moment; she is absolutely covered! After Calpol and Piriton she was still very sore, itchy and upset - apply this and within moments the spots are completely forgotten. This removes the urge to scratch completely which not only means a happier child but quicker healing and less scarring. We bought the gel with my eldest but this time round my daughter chose the spray. The spray was a bit of a mistake- works just as well to calm the rash but it’s very runny, takes several minutes to dry enough to put clothes on and was ‘too cold’. It also doesn’t last long - half the bottle gone in 24 hrs - so we ordered the gel urgently on prime. (They probably just need to modify the pump spray to spray a thinner layer...) The gel is absorbed in seconds and is lasting much longer. If your child has chicken pox, just buy this! It will help immensely.

I am truly lucky and have shingles (again, knackered immune system). This gel definitely takes the edge off the burny itchiness without needing to be rubbed in too thoroughly. I imagine it will be very useful if you have little ones with any type of itchy rash. Obviously check with your pharmacy if in doubt.

This worked wonders for my daughter with her chickenpox. I did also give her calpol and piriton and oat baths but whenever she said she was itchy, I'd apply this and it would instantly give her relief. Most of the spots dried up within a few days but not all and it's hard to say whether it was this or a mixture of everything but it's definitely been worth getting. My 4 year old even said she wants to use it again if she ever gets chickenpox so that says it all!

5 year old has chicken pox, pharmacy said to use camomile lotion with piriton, two days in and my daughter was so itchy she was crying and not sleeping, a friend suggested virasoothe, ordered some and what a difference! Daughter slept through the night and has even said "new cream makes me pops less itchy". Good enough for me! It's easier to spread and apply than the camomile cream in my opinion, definitely recommend.

As an adult who got chickenpox, this is the only thing that helped me during those itchy times.

This is amazing for chicken pox!!!! It dries them up quickly and works much better than calamine lotion! If you’re dealing with chicken pox this is the cream for you!! Highly recommend!!!
