Lakai Men's Howard Skate Shoe

I have had a pair of these shoes that have held to together for 2 years of everyday use; through rain and snow, too (they are not waterproof, though). They start getting beat up after a 1 year, but for me I don't mind the rugged look and I think they are much more comfortable at that point.I have used my previous pair to long board, play basketball in, and generally perform all kinds of random acts of movement and these shoes are great.They look nice too; they are a well built sneaker, made for skateboarding and other things, but they look like a nice pair of shoes. I recently purchased the midnight color, and they look great.For the first few months, the shoes hold up in the rain and if your careful, your feet will stay dry. The svelte drys very well after it's wet. After long use, expect your feet to get wet, but even then the shoes are still comfy.The pair I just bought feels smaller than I expected after my previous pair has stretched perfectly to my feet. But after a few days of use the new pair fits great and the smallness is gone away, so expect it to stretch slightly after a couple days or a week of use if the shoe feels a bit snug around the pinky toe.Overall, I say it's a fantastic sneaker that is built well. The soles around the ball of your feet will be the first area to go; they wear down slowly but surely(especially if you use them for lots of activity, esp. skateboarding). But for me, even after the initial rubber has worn through, I was able to wear them for months before the layers on top of the sole wore through.I expect at least 1 year from these shoes before they start getting really beat up; if you are one who doesn't mind beat up shoes you should be able to get 2 years from them. The style is classic and subtle, so while they are new I wear them to bars and clubs if I want to stay comfy and quick.

The shoes fit as expected they look very nice, the color and comes with to sets of laces, the blue ones as shown in pictures and other brown ones. over all i like them and i know why i was getting i like this brand and vans the last a long time and can take a beating.

The black is very beautiful, you can use them even with very formal clothes and no one notice that it is the "skate" shoe.

The shoes fit as expected. I got a lot nice compliment on how they matched mt Red suit! They are very comfortable and good looking.

Great casual shoe. Very low key and comfortable too. Not very sturdy, but enough to ride in.
