I ordered this butcher paper roll for my daughter to use for her art projects and I tell my husband all the time that I wish I had thought of this sooner. When we had issues with printer paper ending up scattered all over the dining room floor, I looked for a solution that would keep things contained but still let her draw as much as she wanted. This roll is absolutely perfect because we can just roll out a huge section for her to work on and then cut it off when she's done.The paper feels really high quality and thick, which was a huge relief. I was worried markers might bleed through onto the table, but we haven't had that happen at all. It’s sturdy enough for her to use crayons, markers, and even some light paint without it getting soggy or tearing. I don't know if this is how all butcher paper is, but the texture is just right for drawing—not too slick and not too rough.My favorite part is that it eliminates the clutter of having a hundred loose sheets of paper everywhere. We just pull out what we need, and the rest stays neat on the roll. It fits perfectly in the corner of her craft area and lasts forever since there is so much of it. I’m in awe of how much use we are getting out of a single roll and highly impressed!

It's sturdy, but it leaks through the paper when left for 1 day with a steak in it

I was excited about moving away from plastic wrapping meats and using this paper. Maybe someone can tell me what I should do differently to stop it sticking to the meat. If it didn’t stick, it would be awesome.Update 1/27/26 - the company contacted me and I just picked the wrong product for what I was trying to do. This product is not ideal for raw meat packaging. I appreciate the excellent communication from them and have added a star to my review for that reason. I can certainly make good use of the paper for other things.

Not what I was expecting. Likely this is my ignorance and not a problem with the product, but there is no wax coating. It’s just paper. I bought it to freeze meat and I don’t know how it will work. I typically buy freezer paper.
