Despite being a successful business woman, Violet is very self-conscious of her plus-size status due to years of being berated by her mother. She's tried internet dating, but has decided to give up and concentrate on an upcoming plum assignment at work. Lawson is changing scenery, moving from Knoxville to Nashville in hopes of healing from a bad break-up. He runs into Violet several times, once quite literally, and is intrigued by her.
