A cooktop that overheats every few minutes is useless!
It took me over 2 hours to cook a 1/2pound of bacon in a cast iron skillet. After just a few minutes the cooktop would give the error code E6, overheating. I would move the skillet to the second burner, same thing, I would then unplug the unit and let it cool down. It would reset and restart but in a few minutes, same error code E6, Rinse and repeat, 6 times to cook the bacon. My cast iron skillet is heavy, larger that the burner (one of the docs recommendation was to use a larger pan) and very flat (good contact with the burner). It was not a problem with the pan it was simply that the cooktop thought it was too hot. This is simply unacceptable for a cooktop whose only purpose is to get hot. I will be returning. Very unhappy.

Customer service was great through my misunderstanding of use!
Customers really need to know this product supports only certain material to run. That’s the bottom line. Definitely look into the proper cookware for it. It works great now that I’ve really dived in to the actual cookware and customer service support reached out and helped me learn how to properly use it without issues this time. I appreciate the help as I’m learning to cook for the first time as I tried this product for it. It is extremely easy to clean and powers on in seconds. I’m not sure how the glass on the device will hold up since my last product had a hairline fracture in it and I was scared to use it. I hope this time with proper care it will not do this, but I feel confident everything will be okay. Update on 6 months of use.

Underpowered
It's rated at 1800W, but that is spread over the 2 burners. The big burner is max at 1000W. Takes a long time to boil a pot of water. Also, the control panel is always lit. I live on a solar battery system so I'm always aware of phantom power uses like this that drain energy needlessly. The grill is nice but again, takes a long time to heat up with so little power. I've used a single burner 1800W cooktop and loved it, so cutting back to only 1000W is frustrating. I wish that the big burner was 1800 unless the second burner is on...

Great for outdoor grill party!
It came well packed in a slim package. Beautiful white color looks more high-end design. Need a small installation of handle on the lid. Then it is ready to use! I used it for an outdoor grill. The complimentary grill pan is non-stick, very easy to use and clean. There are two model which are P model and C model. P model is for cooktop using and C model is for grill. I used C2 which is 284F/140C for my grill. Sausage is easy to cook and got brown perfectly. Lamb shank took a bit more time. I covered the lid first to cook the inside of lamb, then took the lid of, turn to C4 which is higher temperature to brown the outside. It cooked perfectly and delicious!

Looks Good, performance could be a bit better.
I set it up in my basement, where I created my entertainment room with a bar. It also matched the color theme of the interior. At first, I liked how it looked and felt. However, I didn't think it did a good job as a regular cooktop. It ended up being a bit of a letdown because it just took longer to cook enough bar foods to serve a gathering than I expected. It could be because I don't like cooking and try to minimize the time spent on it as much as possible. Haha! Well, this one fell a bit short in that regard. After 5 months of use, it's still going strong and cooks fast enough for personal use. so it seems durable enough. In the end, the cost performance in terms of performance versus price is okay.

Works, but not so well and with poor interface
This two-plate cooker can be used independently or as a combined heater. It plugs into a standard 120 Volt AC outlet. One plate can go to 1000 Watts, the other 800 Watts. If both are used, it can use 1800 Watts which is exactly 15 Amps at 120 Volts, the limit of what one can typically draw on a 120V circuit, and is probably why the right hand plate is limited to 800 Watts.240 Volt stove ranges have induction heaters which use up to 3000 Watts, so this cooker’s most powerful plate is about a third as powerful. We use a 10/18 stainless steel kettle on our gas range and I thought it would work fine on the induction cooker, but alas, its base does not have enough ferrous material to be used on this hotplate. Our cast iron and other stainless steel pots pans work fine. The griddle does not feel very heavy and is way lighter than other cast iron griddles we have of similar size. The lid is metal and one has to attach the handle with the two supplied screws. The lid only loosely fits on the griddle and does not fit well if the griddle is not in use.We are interested to see how well induction cooking works. Using a kettle that does work, we boiled 1 cup of water on our existing gas range and on this cooktop using the same kettle. The 1000 W hot plate was much faster than the gas, boiling the water in 3 minutes 18 seconds. The gas range took 5 minutes! There is a cooling fan within the cooker to keep internal components from overheating. This runs a few minutes after use until it has cooled. It is not too loud. The cooktop has a timer for each hotplate allowing it to be set to switch off after a time period of up to 99 minutes. Defying all logic, the timer display does NOT count down so there is no way to see how many minutes are remaining. I set a timer and then switched the ‘entire pan’ button. Well that had the effect of canceling the timer. Crass. There are two cooking modes. P mode lets each plate be run in 7 (1000 W) or 6 (800 W) power settings. C mode is activated when the two plates are combined and lets one cook at specific temperatures, with five temperature settings. It is not clear why they decided that temperature cooking is only available in dual control mode. The instructions implore us to only use the griddle in C mode for some reason. We decided to test the griddle with dual side cooking to fry some bacon. We placed the griddle on the cooker and tried to turn both sides cooking on. It rejected its own griddle. In order to get something done we tried running just the left side in P mode, and it started heating the griddle. Once the griddle had warmed up a bit we tried the dual side cooking again, and then it worked. Ambient room temperature was around 70°F. After a while we decided it was simply not getting hot enough to fry bacon. So then we took a cast iron frying pan, moved the warmed up bacon into that, removed the griddle, and ran just the left cooker at level P7. This was hotter than before and the bacon started frying, but not for long. Suddenly the cooker beeped and displayed the E6 error which means it has become too hot. The solution is to unplug it and let it cool (they suggest 10 minutes). At that point we gave up and completed the frying on the gas stove. Nobody can be expected to stop cooking periodically to cool the device down. What is the use of a griddle that does not get hot enough to fry bacon?Later, to test the overheating issue, we boiled a kettle of water (taking 10 minutes on P7 on the left cooker). No error occurred. Each plate is turned on by pressing the control knob, and then rotating it for the setting. The knobs turn well and are easy to use.Overall, control flexibility is limited and not well thought out. Hardware works ok and is great for quick cooking. The instructions (say not to use this on a metal work surface. Keep that in mind if you have stainless steel countertops. The instructions (and even a temperature warning printed on the top on the cooker) have grammatical errors.Overall: underpowered, clumsy controls, and overheats and shuts off.Made in China

The best cooktop I've ever seen
The best cooktop I've ever seen. It is very practical and I can take it anywhere. Besides doing. I eat with pans, I can use the iron plate to grill my food. I really loved this.
