CURT 13472 Class 3 Trailer Hitch, 2-Inch Receiver, Compatible with Select MDX

Great hitch. Bought it for my new 2025 Pilot touring. Easy to install. Quick tip if you don’t have a 22mm socket your lug wrench that comes with the vehicle works great. Also if you have some help holding up the other side of the hitch while you start the bolts on the other side works best. (only 5 minutes of help is needed). Don’t skip the part about lowering the spare tire you need to move it out of the way to install. You don’t have to take it off. Less than an hour from start to finish. Second Curt hitch that I have bought, (5th wheel is the other). Very happy with both.

Very easy instalation in a Pilot 2024. The only extra step was to bring down the spare tire to work comfortably. This is more than what I need but great choice. You won't be disappointed with this accessory. This is my second car with a CURT trailer hitch. This is build to last. I'm very happy with this product.

Fits perfectly

This was very easy to install, however, what you need to do is completely remove the spare tire so that you can maneuver the hitch into place without having the tire in the way. Also, make sure you clean out the threads in the car body before you set the hitch into place. I used a brush and WD-40 and I threaded the bolts in about halfway to make sure they would go in smoothly. Once I had it installed, I put the spare tire back into place.

I really like this one, because I did not have to cut or replace the lower bottom trim at the hitch location (the factory Acura hitch is not only more $, but the one I saw also requires you to replace that trim piece with another one so more $). I called Curt 1st to ensure this would in fact fit my 22 Type S. They insured me it would. Only exception was that the Hands Free Tailgate Sensor would have to be relocated. Not as hard as that all sounds. Just pop all (small size) wire harnesses, move the sensor control out of your way first, then install the trailer hitch. Do yourself a favor (because of the sensor) get another set of hands to install. I had read reviews that it would not work with my donut spare that I added (because Type S MDX requires 19" spare), IT DOES! After mounting the hitch (6 included bolts only) then relocate that sensor command box. I moved mine to the left of where it was already mounted (left meaning looking out the rear of the vehicle from UNDER the vehicle backwards). I drilled a hole in that aluminum lower trim frame (not the solid square tubing bumper). I then used 2 cable ties to neatly place all wires up out of harms way. Installation was great. Now I just kick to the right of the trailer hitch to activate the HFA on the tailgate. Works fabulous! I would definitely recommend this, especially if it is the Type S.

This is a great hitch and I installed it by myself. It wasn’t the easiest but I got it done. I used a creeper and put tbe hitch on top of me and slid under. Once I got one bolt started I put one on the other side and then it went quickly. I used a battery powered impact wrench so it went quickly. Make sure to hand thread them first to ensure no cross threading and put the washers on the right way so they do their job. Finish by torquing with a torque wrench or give it a good tug with a big long ratchet Don’t want to to come lose.

Easy to install fit perfect

At first this looked like an easy DIY installation using a 22 mm socket for the included bolts, and a 36"-ish 4X4 piece of wood on top of a jack to move the heavy hitch into position. As others have mentioned here, there is a plastic assembly carrying the hands-free tailgate feature that prevents the hitch from moving toward the back far enough inside the bumper cover to line up the 6 hitch mounting holes. I included a picture that shows the assembly's 4 upper holes using Phillips screws and 2 lower holes using push-pin trim clips. You'll also need a small Torx driver to remove the little control box for the hands-free feature. Ours was always unreliable (or maybe it was the user) but I felt no remorse in just removing that assembly from the vehicle and zip-tying the remaining cable and control box up above the hitch. I also used anti-seize on the 6 bolts in case I ever need to remove them. I'm rating this 4 out of 5 stars because the otherwise thorough instructions neglected to mention this extra removal step that would have been much easier to deal with as the next thing to do after lowering and removing the spare. I believe this is only the Advance trim level so this may not be an issue for you.

6000lb c'est une grosse attache remorque. Le poids est surprend mais facile à installer sauf si vous avez une boîte pour les capteur dans le pare-chocs. Mais après réflexion et débrouillardise c'est installer. Reste à mettre une bracket pour le 7 pines

This one fits my Honda pilot very good 👍

Installed on my Honda Pilot 2025 black edition it's a perfect match,no problem at all didn't need to move or relocate the back compartment sensor and works perfectly fine. Did it for less than 2hours just by myself did'nt depend much on jack to lift but used the chain ⛓️ and 🪛 screwdrivers instead to hang the hitch while installing.
