EDIT 10/21/17: The company sent me a replacement part after responding here about the product having a one year warranty. I didn't even think about that. Great customer service! I installed the new part and hope it lasts.The part where you tighten the ball on the top (attached to the piece that you slide a wig head over) is not very strong. After about 30 to 40 uses of the stand, it doesn't like to hold. I use canvas heads and heavy wigs, but it should be able to stand up to this. It likes to fall sideways (again, the top part; not the entire structure). I could use pliers to tighten it even further but the more I do this, the weaker it becomes. It's pretty much unusable at this point. For the price, I thought I had invested in something that would last long-term. Instead I have something that won't hold and sometimes makes the canvas head fall off and ruin the styling of the wig I'm doing, unless you have the head straight up and down vertically. Sometimes you need to have it at a 45º tilt. But the bolt won't hold the ball in place any more.

I purchased to use to style my wigs(units). I don't make wigs but own quite a few custom made wigs. When I want to wear one I like to style it to wear. The foam heads are annoying and very difficult to work with. I find this tripod to be very sturdy. It is height adjustable for sitting or standing. It turns so you can rotate the wig head while styling. It never tips or wobbles. Well worth the extra money. Happy with my purchase and has made wig styling so much easier. Comes with carrying case if you want to travel with it.

All material used to make this product is excellent. I have bought several stands and this is by far the best. Very well made. I love the construction with the reinforced clamps that keep it in place while in use.

At first I loved this tripod. It was sturdy and was compact so traveling with it was easy. I was busy teaching at the time so I used it for about 2 months daily then put it up for a while. Pull it back out to do some certifications and now the leg is sliding down and I don't know how to fix it. This is my 2nd tripod (the 1st one was from a different company) BUT I don't want to have to continue to purchase tripods every few years. Overall good tripod. Now the question is How Do I Stop It From Siding?????

I am updating my review to 5 stars, the seller asked to see photos and when I sent them, they offered to replace my tripod. This is fantastic customer service and reflects well on them and makes me believe this might be an unusual occurrence.Original review follows:A good wig stand is hard to find. Tripod stands are inherently problematical since the sideways motions that you use when you style a wig (often requiring quite a bit of strength) cause the stand to tilt. This is true for any tripod that doesn't have some additional means of support, like a foot stabilizer system. That's why the most popular wig stands for working on wigs with professionals are those which can be attached to heavy work tables or desks.Having said all that, this is a fairly typical wig tripod. It seems less durable than others I have used. The tripod is of moderate quality. The wig attachment lasted for two years of not really very intense use, and then the metal welding broke, rendering it inoperable and unrepairable. This is the most disturbing part of this, as I have other wig stands which I have used for 6 years or more, and are still going strong.I will be looking for a tripod wig stand, as they are useful for teaching and demonstrations, but this may not be my first candidate for a repurchase.

After researching a few different stands for my wigs, I found the perfect one. This one does not have a loose stand for the wig head. It tightens very nicely and holds in place through combing, brushing, curling and anything else I would need to do with my wig. It's very tall which is great. The color is also cute. If you're looking for one that does not have the wig head moving with every little maintenance to the wig, this is it. I'm glad I took the chance. No regrets.

love item; only problem is the bag it came in the zipper was ill stitched, as i was looking at item to determine if there were any defects. the strap came apart from bag, and zipper fell off. Working currently with seller to take care of the problem. Unsure if i will need to return for refund and repurchase or if items will simply be replaced; but I feel it still deserve 5 stars, until I am totally not satisfied with products and service. I'd recommend this tripod. I don't think the cheaper versions will give you the look and feel of this outstanding product. Tripod was sturdy, well made, solid design, metal parts, not a lot of plastic. grips on feet, adjusting hinge for head to fit on, several heights, no odor, looks professional, fast ship. Worth the money.

I love that you are able to adjust the height. Got the silver and black great buy.

Best thing I have gotten here on Amazon ..money well spent !

Welp I got this in April of 2020 it is now August of 2020 and one of the legs are not staying locked in place when I put the clasp over it to lock it, it keeps going down...not sure what to say about that or how to fix it...if anyone knows please let me know...
