The least unattractive and most user friendly pedometer
This pedometer is superior in many ways to cheaper models that you may find:- It doesn't count every tiny bump, until you've been walking with apparent purpose for a few steps. Then it will count the ones you have already done as well. However it won't register much for any low level house pottering you may be doing, you'll need to really walk.- It shows progress towards a target, and you can set how many steps you want to do each day, your stride length and height and weight, and it will show your stats for the last week.- It is on a lanyard so you can wear it around your neck, or in your pocket. It does not clip onto your belt like the truly geeky pedometers.Slight quibbles:- The screen can get scratched quite easily so don't put it in your pocket with your keys.- It doesn't seem to like getting sweaty and the screen fogs (although this cleared up), so be careful where you put it for going for a jog.- Cycling counts for nothing. But then, it wouldn't, would it?If you need some arbitrary goal-oriented incentives to get more active, this pedometer is a good place to start.

Good value.
Arrived quickly. Neat and easy to use though I can't work out how to reduce my target steps to a more realistic number! I can be on my feet all day yet still not get to my 10,000 a day!

For the price of it however it isn't that bad and I see it has been reduced again since ...
Step count is reasonably accurate BUT it keeps counting in the car which is disappointing as I have to try and work out how many steps I didn't actually do in a day! It is also quite fragile, I tried putting it on the dashboard of the car to see if that would stop it counting (it didn't) and it slipped down by the handbrake scratching the screen really badly. For the price of it however it isn't that bad and I see it has been reduced again since I bought it, typical!!

Faulty
Just a quick review. Was faulty from new. I could not set the time, instructions said to hold down 'mode' button for 3-5 seconds and then you could set time. I tried this but time set would not kick in. The button does work though as it cycles through modes just fine. Awayway, I took it to work and enjoyed an afternoon in the sun going around to visit clients. At the end of the day it had only recorded 200 steps....trust me that was wrong! As I cant set the time it resets at 12:00 midnight, which actually is 1:00 during the day, so no way to record days steps. Maybe I was just unlucky, but think the cheap price shot me in the foot this time. Sorry, rubbish product. No starts if I could.

Excellent Device
This is my 3rd daffodil step counter (my fault - I broke the other two) and I can honestly say it is excellent value for money. Compared to other step counters I have tried the accuracy of the Daffodil is incredible. Never mind the plus or minus 10% accuracy of other counters I have always found the Daffodil pretty much bang on, especially compared to anything that you put on your wrist. It may not hook up directly to any computer software but it has a 7 day memory which gives sufficient time to add your steps to a spreadsheet if that is your thing. The battery lasts an age as well but replace it with a decent battery as the cheap ones don't last long.Set it up, it takes 2 minutes, stick it in your pocket and go. Definitely the most accurate step counter you will get.

NOT user friendly
Bought this to use basically as a pedometer not for calorie counting but the instruction leaflet has TINY printing and I needed a magnifying glass to read it!! Followed the instructions faithfully and still can't get it to work, also no way to turn it off and conserve battery. Have ended up throwing it in a drawer, waste of money

A nifty little gadget, but dont expect perfection
I received my Daffodil Pedometer two days ago, and so far so good; it was easy to set up with clear instructions and as it is a small and light gadget its easy to wear around the neck. However, it really should have the option of a clip, because when you are washing at the sink it can get wet as it is dangling from your neck straight into the sink. Not every outfit I wear has a pocket, so yes, I think a clip is an essential addition to the design. Also, I find mine sometimes freezes and is inaccurate - after a half hour of hoovering, wiping, dusting, and sweeping the steps hadnt changed at all, which is just downright wrong. So I tend to take it more as a guide to how much Im walking rather than an accurate count. My aim is to reach 10,000 steps a day, and just by having the pedometer I feel more motivated, so all in all its a good thing. I'll be walking into town and back today after several months of hibernation, and am looking forward to seeing the numbers on its screen!

fab little pedometer
I ordered this as we are doing a walking challenge at work, and the pedometer we were given was cheap and not reliable. This is a fantastic little gadget, at a very reasonable price. Its dead easy to use, and you dont have the problem of it falling off your pocket as you can wear it with the lanyard provided around your neck. I can just pop it on and forget about for the rest of the day.As well as steps it measures calories & distance and has a handy little clock on it. It resets itself at midnight, and it records 7 days worth of steps so you can look back and check your progress. In summary, would recommend this to anybody, does exactly what it says on the tin, for a very reasonable price.
