Woolrich Men's Expedition Chamois Shirt

I have been a Woolrich fan for many years, and have bought many items of clothing with the Woolrich tag. I have generally thought that they were well made, and quite a few items lasted for many many years. I thought it was time to replace several worn chamois shirts, and liked the option of a heavier weight fabric than LL Bean and Eddie Bauer provide. In the part of California I inhabit, these shirts are warm enough to serve as a light jacket in the winter, and often that is all you need.Comparing this shirt to the other Large chamois shirts I have and am replacing, these seem to run slightly small. It is an incentive to lose some weight. I suspect that an extra large would have been too big. It would have been nice if they had put a loop on the back so that you could hang the shirt on a hook, but this shirt does not have this feature, and it seems to have disappeared from other shirts as well. The buttons are a nice size and easy to grab even if your hands are a bit stiff. The buttoned front pockets are nice if you carry a cell phone or your wallet in your shirt/jacket pocket.

I like everything about this shirt. I have several and it seems they'll last forever. They are very well made, soft and comfy, and RUGGED. On me, the fit is absolutely perfect; as If it were custom-tailored. From October to May these are my go-to shirts. If there were a more perfect cold-weather shirt I'd buy it but I've stopped looking. This IS perfection.

I have been a wearer of chamois shirts for at least 50 years (no, not the same one!) I have been disappointed with other purchases in the past because there is a great deal of difference between manufacturers.After much searching and researching, I selected this brand to try for my first time. It is now my brand of choice! Fit is fantastic, manufacture is great, this is a heavy weight fabric also. It is exactly what I was looking for!This is the best chamois shirt I have purchased since my very first one.

Sized as expected. Shrunk a little less than expected.Will shorten the sleeves a bit (my arms are short).Not as soft as my old Penney's St John's Bay chamois shirt, but they are no more.In time, may soften up more.Looks good, feels like it will hold out, so good value.

I love the shirt but it's just too darn big. I have another Woolrich flannel in large that fits as expected. This shirt should be labeled XL. I have to send it back. But the style, quality, and comfort all seem top notch. I will certainly love the one I find that fits better..BTW: I'm 5' 10" medium build.

Shirt is classically stylish (black on black), super comfortable (stiff at first but breaks in) warm and tough as nails, Everyone should have one.

Woolrich has been making wonderful shirts for a very long time and the quality of this one is on target. The Expedition Chamois is a very heavy, very comfortable winter shirt. Warm by itself or very warm with layer underneath, they run as expected, slightly oversize but have a cropped tail which is great if you wear it out. I'm 6'2 and 220 and the fit is perfect, loose by itself but not restricting with a thermal layer under it. This is my 3rd Expedition and I expect them to out last me ! You will be happy with the quality of this shirt even though it is made in China.

Nice looking shirt and seemingly well made as is the usually the case with Woolrich, but as is also the case with Woolrich you really need to watch it with the sizing. I order a handful of Woolrich made items this month- (two shirts, a sweater and a jacket) and all varied in size to some degree each despite being order in the same size (large) but this one was way off (too big) enough that it had to be returned, with no hope of it ever shrinking enough to ever fit right. Too long, too wide- too big, to be a proper "large"..

The size was as expected. The material is thicker and a bit stiffer than other similar shirts, which I like. The stitching is well done. The inside of the collar has a bit of accent material which is a nice touch. Overall this is the best chamois shirt I have ever bought. I highly recommend it.

found extremely comfortable especially with current -20c weather. very roomy and none binding. would recommend to others.
