Best small Becker
I have this and it's better than the bk 16. It's not slightly over built like the 16, is slicier, has a tactical geometry, a better sheath than the 16, and it my go to knife for a companion knife as it's very utilitarian. I only gave it 4 stars because of the ugly grivory handles, and the sheath shape does kinda suck even though it's better than the sheath if the 16. If you are looking to upgrade the handles and sheath this would be 5 star rocking

The screws take a 9/64" hex key.
I like the knife. I like the sheath. I like that it can be flipped from right handed to left handed carry.I got one little gripe.The screws that hold everything together take a 9/64" hex key. Now I want to carry one on my keychain, but no one makes a dogging key (loop in the end) in 9/64". Perhaps Becker Knife/Kabar should make one and include it with the knife.

Great small knife
1095 steel first choice for touch the world knife. Good survival type knife. Sheath is good. Prefer leather for knives.

Great Design, El Cheapo Scales
The BK19 is a great blade design. It looks great and the handle ergos are very nice. The stock plastic scales are less than impressive. They are plastic and have gaudy screws/nuts holding them in place. My knife got a set of elegant G10 scales from The Knife Connection that set me back an additional $63 (shipped). They are a HUGE improvement. This knife would be an easy 5 stars if it had come with decent scales, but for it's price point, I can live with the aftermarket retrofit. The factory edge was "toothy" but very sharp. All in all, the BK19 is a very nice woodsman's knife.
