Costume looked great and worked perfect. Ordered size large and was concerned it would be too big, but ended up fitting just right...so it does run small. My son is 7 going on 8. He's long and skinny. Wears a size 6/7 waist but needs 8 for length. Wears size 7/8 shirts.

My son is majorly into historical war, and he requested this for Christmas. It was my fault for not looking closer, I just wish companies were more up front about not including things like wigs and pants in the outfit description.Overall, the quality of the jacket is good. Over priced when considering how much I didn’t get in the package.

My son is a boys 14 husky.I bought the XL and it was really small so I made a slit up the back of the jacket to just below the collar to fit him:)I only needed it for a front facing video and picture and It worked!I think XL would fit maybe a thin boy size 12.It served it's purpose for me:)

My 13 year old daughter wore this for Halloween as Alexander Hamilton, she's a huge fan of the musical. She wears a ladies xs/small and the kids XL costume was only the tiniest bit small on her, for the price it was just fine. Very pleased with the comfort and stretch of the fabric, didn't wrinkle and washed well. She wore her own knee high boots and that really finished the outfit. She looked terrific and was very comfortable, You couldn't ask for more from a costume for the price. We can easily hand it down next year.

This uniform was perfect for our needs. My son had to dress as “Alessandro Volta” for the school wax museum. I recommend ordering a size larger than what you need. I read reviews before purchasing and people recommended to order a size up as the costume runs small...glad I ordered a medium instead of a small. I added patches to the jacket to complete the authenticity of the character. Really nice costume. My seven year old son loved it!

Perfect for Founding Fathers project; son was John Adams. Used black baseball knickers and long white socks. He got an A+He is 9 and 4'11 with average to slim build; fit was perfect @ Large. Bought wig separately

This is perfect for dress up and Halloween. The long tails of the coat are great when your 7 year old is re-enacting Leslie Odom Jr.'s moves in "The Room Where it Happens." Also good for pirate play. It's easy to move in this costume and it seems like it will last at least a year of active-boy-use. Medium fit my slim, average height 7.5 year old with a little extra room to layer underneath, but still fine with no layers or a slim layer under it.

This was a last minute purchase for Colonial Days at school. It was cheaply made and the seams didn't last the whole day, but like I said, it was last minute... The costume was incredibly wrinkled upon receipt and due to the cheap nature of the fabric, ironing was out of the question. Cute enough for the Colonial Day, but the price gouge was painful.
