Callaway Ball Diablo Golf Balls (12-Pack)

These balls are GREAT off the tee. These things can easily add 10-15 yards to your drive. If you make contact with these little guys they will FLY. Which is a good and bad thing: good because of the yardage and bad because of the lack of control and forgiveness. If these are hit slightly off center they will zip right into the woods. I would describe these much like a Ferrari - great speed but a little bend in the road and you're out of control. This is especially true when chipping onto the green. Great energy but often over shoots. As another review commented, these will also shoot pretty hot on the green. And by hot will explode off the putter. You sometimes have to scale back your stroke at bit to chip to the green, or really dig into the ground.I don't want to come across as though these deserve 2 stars, I actually do like them a lot. One thing worth noting is how they don't feel like a regular 2 ply where it feels like the ball is make out of Plexiglas. They do have a softer feel with a lot less 'high pitched "clinkiness"' that so often comes with cheap two-ply balls.SummaryPretty good ball, great price, just a little too reactive for those aren't there with their swing yet. Not all that versatile. For those that "have it together", these are great! Although double the price, the Tour ix is a great ball (found on the course). The tour ix's are really a good ball that has some weight to it and some nice control. Just throwing it out.

If you have trouble with a back spin when chipping to the green... stay away from these!They are HOT! I like them on slow greens, but on fast... man they're tough to bite.I got a set of HX HOT Plus balls as well, and they are a little bit better.I think I'm going to try the HX Bites... as I heard they pretty much hit the green like a stone.Even with a decent back spin, it's tough to get these to stick.

diablos are my favorite callaway ball, they have a lively feel but very soft. I can hit them a little further than my favorite 2 piece, the bridgestone e5+. Honestly im a little more consistant overall with the stones but someone who hits straighter than me might like the diablo more. Also, diablos dont spin much around the green and roll fast when putting.

I gave it three stars because 2 out of 12 of the balls arrived with defects. Maybe that explains the low price or maybe I'm just unlucky. Both defective balls were in the same package of the four included packs (#4's)

The picture and description were very deciving..looked like more then 12 balls in that pic that said 12 pk..then they were used with grass stains and sharpie markings on them..on top of all that, they came just thrown in a shipping box, all 12 just in a loose box..very disappointing to say the least

I have recently bought theses golf balls seeing the price was cheaper then in the store. What can i say great price and will definitely buy them again...when i need them. I really dont notice the difference from these balls or a different brand im not that good of a golfer to tell but i am also a Callaway fan so i decided to try them out. They are well worth the price especially when you get free shipping.

Surprisingly good feel and spin around the greens, especially from mid distance iron approach shots. Not super soft for chipping around the green with maximum spin but still reasonable performance in the feel department. These definitely shine when it comes to distance though, with extraordinary distance off the tee. An overall great value with good feel for a two layer ball and great distance.
