Adds a little more (1/2-1") than the 4" claimed so make sure you have enough slack to accept. The mating pipes will seat against the transition radius from the straight pipe to the woven. Overall, good quality and good value.

Shop wanted $600 for while converter and pipe. I cut the flex out and welded new one in. Saved myself hundreds! Good parts and saved.

I used this flex pipe to repair my 2005 Jeep Liberty, 2.8L CRD. This replaced the original flex pipe with some minor modifications.

For the most part it's not a bad flex pipe... Though in most cases it has to be welded in place to prevent any leaks since it's usually installed BEFORE the catalytic converter. The braided/flex part of the pipe appears to be pretty good quality, but the end pipes are fair thin and if you have to expand it even a little bit to fit the pipe it's going on it'll only get thinner.While I was welding this onto an existing pipe, I did have to turn the heat/power setting all the way down to prevent it from blowing a hole in the pipe.

Needed a specific size. This one fit my 04’ Jetta wagon perfectly.

I bought this thinking the inside diameter would be at least 2-1/8". Once the pipe goes into mesh, the inner diameter gets restricted down to about 2" inside diameter. The mesh goes inward inside. Gave it 3 stars because of this reason. Looks to be well made. Will have to buy a larger size and reduce it down to make sure I gget my 2-1/8" inside diameter like I need. Packaged well and looks to be stainless mesh, but not so sure about outer pipes being stainless. They look to be aluminized, or mild steel. I would buy again knowing what I know now. Hope this helps someone choose the right part.

Hasnt been installed as I told its not needed after all

I ordered this product on the request from my brother. He does his own mechanical work. He was happy with it & it worked just fine to repair his SUV muffler. He also ordered the clamps that were needed to complete the repair.

EXACTLY AS ADVERTISED

My original flex pipe burned out after 13 years, installed this small section of flex pipe instead of the entire new pipe with the plex at a fraction of the cost. How low it will last I wouldn't know, will be getting a new vehicle again in about a year, so I'd imagine it should last at least that long. A good product for a cheap exhaust fix with no complaints.
