Nike Men's React Element 55 SE Running Shoes

This is my second pair of Nike React "Element 55" shoes. My first ones are three years old and still good, though I was concerned this model might be discontinued at some time, so I recently bought a back-up pair. I run 1 1/2 miles a day, 7 days/wk. That means I've put on over 1,500 miles on the current pair, and they are still going strong. The "React" sole feels like I am running on springs, they are so soft and springy. Most of the cushioning is still there after the 1,500 miles.These shoes are very attractive looking. They are light and very comfortable, easy to put on and tie, and let air circulate well to minimize any sweating. Yet they provide adequate support for activities that consist of mostly forward motion (walking, running). I run on pavement, with little side movements. These might not be the best for an activity like basketball which involves a lot of side-ways pivoting. The sideways support might not be adequate for that.

The sidewalls of the shoe are thin, tongue is thin making the shoe a loose fit unless you wear thick socks.

Mine were a bit tight when I first got them, but stretched gently within 4hrs of use and mounded to my foot. Love them.Hear are the lightest, most comfortable shoes I’ve had in a long time. (My most favs we’re back in the late 70s - first pair ever of low top leather whites with the black swoosh, aww man!)

This shoe is undoubtedly aesthetically pleasing to the eye...however, this shoe runs small, narrow and doesn't provide sufficient support. The show material is stretchable. I wear a size 10.5D and have worn a number of Nike shoes...their shoes are quite comfortable...especially for traveling...with this shoe, I found myself unlacing them frequently while traveling...the shoe tongue (I think that's what it is called) hurts the top of my feet...I tried loosing the strings...quick tie button on strings (nice touch)...still felt pressure....for the price...I expected a bit more...I've only worn them once...maybe I need to break them in....but it's gong to be a painful endeavor...

I bought these for my dad since my bf has had a pair for almost 2 years now. My dad loved these shoes!! Easy to slide on love the material and he said they’re so light!!!

Nice Sneakers! Runs small, got .5 size bigger to fit as expected. The box was ruined and looked used which was disappointing because it was a gift.

Love the shoes.. Material is a little thin so I have to be careful when I wear them.
