Great heat lamps. Just remember you probably also need a UVB bulb for reptiles.

Turtle comfort has been tricky after following book advice and dealer opinion. We've been at it for over 5-years, tending to Thor, the turtle.A 100W bulb could turn Thor into mush in a shell. Controlling temp (variable Wattage) vs. ambient is tricky in four-season climate conditions and compounded by humidity control considerations to maintain optimum Thor resort-style comfort.The 100W bulb could replace three lower-watt bulbs, but the changeover takes planning, given the terrarium's artificial terrain.

Like that you get two bulbs for this price. We used this for our red eared sliders tank. It didn't heat up the water too much and so far has kept the temperature consistent.

I ordered these bulbs because I recently came into possession of a yellow belly slider turtle. He’s a little baby. He was at my front door and I don’t have any water close to me. Very weird.Anyway!! So the bulbs are are great and fit perfect in the lamp I ordered. They get hot…really hot. My little turtle, Spencer, loves it. He climbs up on the rock that’s under it and basks away throughout the day.The lamp I have has a dimmer, so I’m able to control the heat.Overall, very nice. I do recommend. 👍🏾

These were useless when they arrived. One was completely shattered & the other didn't work. They are packaged in thin cartons for shelf sales rather than shipping cartons & since they were shipped by Amazon, not the retailer, I can't fault the seller for the broken one. The fact that the unbroken one didn't work is the basis for my 1 star rating.

I have been using another brand for the past few years and decided to give these a try after becoming increasingly frustrated with blowout after blowout within just a few weeks. Those bulbs were supposed to last “UP TO” 🙄 2000 hrs. (Which, at 12 hrs a day, equates to around 5.5 months or 166.6 days) I realize the treacherous word games of UP TO, VIRTUALLY, etc. MAY be intentionally misleading, but I still expect at least half of the suggested best case scenario. These bulbs go beyond the other brands potential and put the life of the bulb at 3000hrs. In theory that’s just over 8 months! I’d be happy with 4. I am currently pleased with these bulbs and will say so far so good. I like that the manufacturer says they will replace faulty bulbs, however, I am nothing if not thorough and cannot fully recommend them after only a few days. I will be updating their status periodically and will check back in one month.UpdateNearly 2 months and still going strong!

Nothing makes one panic more than when a bulb goes out in your lizard’s tank. This two pack is perfect. With this being summer the wattage is perfect for our uromastyx. She’s active in her tank and will bask all day. Will definitely order again.

So far so good. My turtle and I go through basking bulbs about once every 2 months. Occasionally we run across a brand that lasts. This one seems to be good so far.We have a simply on-off timer for it so have not been able test or needed to adjust the dimmability of the bulbs.
