Blows Rodecasters away!
The Mackie DLZ creator is without a doubt the best digital mixer on the market.Firstly when I received my DLZ creator I wasn't well. So I just never bothered to open the box for eight days until I felt better.Upon opening everything was sealed and brand new.The Mackie DLZ creator was sealed inside a clear plastic bag with no air holes. It had a large silica gel pack inside that you find in most electrical equipment to absorb any moisture. But unfortunately as I looked at the sealed bag there was condensation inside and some dew water droplets on the Mackie DLZ creator. It may have been because I kept it inside a warm room for eight days before opening.I dried the dew off with a dry cloth and just left the DLZ creator sitting on a table for two days to be sure any further condensation was gone before powering it on.When you buy electrical equipment bear in mind it's been in a cold delivery van and bringing it inside can cause this.Always safe to leave without power until it gets to the room temperature. I normally give three hours but on this occasion it was different. The Mackie DLZ creator powered up fine with the first firmware loaded. So I went to the Mackie website and downloaded the latest firmware and placed it on a micro SD card and inserted the class 10 SanDisk SD into the DLZ.Selected SD card and tapped on the firmware file using the touchscreen and it updated in a few minutes. The features are great. You have everything you need. You also get a download software link and serial key for DAW software if you want to edit multitrack.Digital Audio Workstation. This unit is the best on the market and far superior to the Rodecaster 1 and 2.All the features are listed on the products page and on the Mackie website. It's a five star ๐ rating from me.

This is NOT for creators and streamers
This is an absolutely EXHAUSTING product market to shop within. I bought this DLZ with a very specific use case, one which the DLZ claims to cater for but failed miserably. Borderline false advertising.I wanted to connect a mic, input some music, hook the USB from the DLZ to my phone and broadcast live. Y'know what that's called? Streaming... content creation... using a digital mixer. This thing can't do it.You cannot connect the USB from this device to a mobile and use it as the sound input, it isn't supported (confirmed by Mackie). It doesn't matter if you don't think that isn't what this is for... it's literally got "streaming" in the title, if mobile phone output isn't supported then it isn't a streaming device. This is fast becoming a very common use case, there's a growing number of people using a device like this as their microphone on the likes of Tiktok live or Youtube live, but there's a lack of information out there to help support you get going with this.So just FYI, do not buy this device if that's your intention. It does not work.If you do try, all you'll hear being picked up by your phone is a static garbled digital signal sounding like an old 90s internet modem.Great job Mackie. Great device for creators.

Seek proper advice before purchasing
Mackie DLZ creator is a very good mixer being using it now for a few weeks. I sent back my rodecaster pro 2 due to the usb 1 been faulty. Reached out to Amazon. They informed me to return the set in exchange for another audio mixer of my choice Mackie DLZ creator. However after getting the Mixer I noticed it came short in the area of recording. Rodecaster Pro 2 had a straight forward Sd insert press record and you would have a main mix and multi files for each channel. However with Mackie dlz creator the unit is at 48khz not 441khz which would give you a easy task just to insert one's SD card press record have a fully main mix and other channels. My concerns is such formation should be give clearly to individuals so they make the right decision. One should however bear in mind that Mackie are know for great mixers however they have a long way in perfecting the Mackie dlz creator.
