First impression: Aargh, this thing doesn’t fit!On further examination, it turns out one of the lugs that hold the non-latch side in place wouldn’t slide into its slot. Two minutes with a sharp knife fixed that, and since them, smooth sailing. Laptop lit right up with no warnings about a non-Dell battery and ran for over an hour on the factory charge then charged fully, again with no warnings or rejection. Only thing left is to see how long it lasts. Apparently a very good product. RecommendedUPDATE:Yep, great while it lasted. Now, four months in and with VERY limited use, it won't recognize the charger and will not accept a charge.Unless some miracle happens,.it's one star or less.Too bad,I had high hopes that it would be as good as it seemed at first.

Well packaged and a good product, works well. I dinged it by 1 star only because it was not a perfect fit in my laptop, it took 3 tries to get it to fit and seat properly and work. Other replacements have just slipped right in, so it seems that something is just a little off, not sure what? Once in, the product performs fine.

I received the battery and installed it. It had a 45% charge. Following the instructions included, I ran the portable PC to bring the battery down to 3% in order to get the best initial charge to condition it. I put it on charge by plugging the computer in and shutting it down. I checked occasionally to see progress of charge. After 24 hours, it will not get above 65% charge. According to the instructions, it should be brought to at least a 70% charge to leave the battery for long term storage - so that won't happen if it can't get beyond 65%! I've returned it to try a replacement - hopefully that may be better.UPDATE - When I received the replacement battery it worked out the same as the first one - no improvement. That leaves me to conclude that there may be a generalized problem with these batteries. I am returning the second battery and trying a different brand.

Exact match to the original battery, except that this one was BOWED. Yes, bowed. As in curved. You don't notice it unless you're paying very close attention to how things line up when you're trying to put it in the computer. Very displeased, my mother needed this last minute for her business trip and it arrived on time, but doesn't fit and now she doesn't have a laptop.
