Great Performance per Dollar
The A380 is an absolute steal for media servers. It runs quiet, sips power, stays cool, and encodes video beautifully, this is one of those rare steals that give you incredible performance and features per dollar. Installation was relatively easy, some varieties run off of PCIE power but this one does not, but that's unlikely to be an issue if you already have a competent media server setup.

Good GPU for price
TLDR: great GPU especially if you can get it for less than 140$, I heavily recommend you do NOT buy this gpu IF you don't have a pc that supports REBAR. Tech savvyness WILL be required. Now long review it will be terrible if you don't have rebar. So only newer systems. Like only ryzen and newer Intel cpus. Keep in mind as well if you want extra performance for older games you'll have to do extra work with dxvk. That was the only way I could get my old old games working properly and at the expected performance level. New DX12 games work GREAT no problems so far and I had expected performance and even exceeded in some areas. Especially in the power consumption it was only using like 60 watts max usage but usually way below that. Ray tracing performance is great for this price point even beating the rtx 2060 in doom dark ages. Overall to conclude its great I heavily recommend it if you are building a newer budget system or if upgrading from a 1070 and below. It didn't disappoint. Just keep in mind I'm seeing the best case scenario since I play mostly old games. That I than add Vulkan to so I get good performance in most of the games I personally play. Best 140$ I could have spent.

Good for AV1 encoding/decoding, no DolbyVision support for encoding
I use this solely for encoding/decoding AV1 and it's great for that. 4k bluray re-encodes usually go ~30 fps and 1080p ones ~90-100 fps using Handbrake. Works with unRAID, Plex, Handbrake, etc. and can be passed through to and used by multiple Docker containers simultaneously with no issue. Note: Hardware encoding AV1 (at least with this card, at this time) DOES NOT support DolbyVision metadata. Encodes will still work and regular HDR metadata will be carried over by Handbrake, but any DolbyVision metadata will be lost. Software encoding AV1 is the only option I have to keep it and that is _painfully_ slow. Supposedly modern Apple CPUs can do HW encoding w/ AV1 and keep DolbyVision metadata, but I have no way to verify that. There are also some command-line tools that may be able to do it with Nvidia cards, but they do not work with Intel GPUs at this time.

Decent graphics Card
I have been using this graphics card for the last few months and it’s really impressive especially considering its price. If you are looking for a budget graphics card that is capable of encoding Av1 then this might be the best choice.

Excellent Transcoding for your Plex/Jellyfin Server
The graphics performance isn't too shabby for a value card, however where tis card shines is in its ability transcode just about any video format you might have when running a Plex, Jellyfin, or competing media server. The Arc A380 series is truly a transcoding beast, and easily handles multiple 4k streams, and even more HD streams simultaneously. The fans are very quiet in operation, and aren't going to keep you away if the computer is in your bedroom. Installation is easy using your typical push the card into the PCI-E slot, connect your monitors, and install the driver once booted up. - Be aware you MUST use a supplemental PCI-E power cable from your power supply directly to this video card, or the system will refuse to boot on most systems. When connecting your monitors, the card supports HDMI & DP only, so if connecting to an older 15 Pin VGA connectors you'll need an adapter, easily purchased for around $6.00 on Amazon. For those running a Media Server wishing for hardware transcoding, or playing games with moderate graphics needs, this is an awesome card for the money. Ignore some of the bad reviews indicating artifacts, which are easily remedied by downloading & installing the latest drivers from the Intel website.

No HDMI prior to kernel loading if rebar/above 4g enabled
Purchased this to use for hardware encoding/decoding and object detection using the OpenVino framework in Frigate. Card probably works fine, but there's no signal on the HDMI port prior to the kernel loading when rebar/above 4G decoding are enabled, which makes troubleshooting problematic with a KVM over IP that uses HDMI. Very disappointed.

Exceedingly capable homelab streaming and remote rendering card.
Purchased for a homelab rack server running Linux and Plex and some other tools. Highly recommend for a lower cost modern high performance card, it isn't power hungry, and is very stable while it handles transcoding for multiple streams. The only downside I found was that HDMI output for large resolutions was highly limited due to the output path being native for display port and the HDMI bridge being lower speed; my display was just above the capability of the HDMI output, so I had to switch to the HDMI output from the CPU chipset.

temper your expectations.
i cant really reccomend this anymore. lots called this a basic display adapter, and i thought "nah itll be fine, its pretty impressive on paper, and my expectations arent even that high". its ok, but it will leave you wanting very quickly. it works just fine as a basic display adapter, for a streaming box, and for older games. but if you want to play anything made after 2019 its gonna struggle. a lot. the most recent game it can run that ive tried is Halo infinite but only at 1080p lowest settings, at like 50-35 and even then it crashes a lot and suffers from visual bugs. it just doesnt have enough VRAM. if you are CERTAIN you will only be playing old games, lighter indie titles and ESPORTS games like fortnite or overwatch, it will be fine. but if you have even a slight inkling that you will be playing anything new, just go get something with a little more power. an rtx 5050, b580 or an rx 7600 is a much better value proposition for that purpose, but i suppose for basic low end gaming, streaming, and stuff you can squeak by with this thing. Intel GPUs also have issues with compatibility, which i have run into a handful of times. so just consider it very carefully. but i would have to say just save up another 160 and get a better card.

Quiet and decent for transcoding.
Used for transcoding in unraid. Really quiet and capable little card.

great value for the money
I like this video card a lot. I'm not a gamer, so I cannot judge how this card performs while playing games. I'm a graphic designer and I create images using Adobe software. This ARC A380 card does its job very well. Combining this with a motherboard that supports resizable BAR and installing the latest drivers, results in a very smooth experience, despite its rather modest specifications. I have another computer with a nvidia RTX with more or less same specifications, which operates at the same speed, but costs twice as much. For content creating, the ARC A380 does the job at an unbeatable price. And it's very quiet.

Asrock Challenger Intel Arc A380 GDDR6 6GB
I really like this graphics card. I am mostly using it on my HTPC to view Blu-ray movies ripped to my hard drive, which includes 4K movies too. The performance of the card is very good. I am not a serious gamer, but occasionally, I do play a few games. This graphics card does just fine on most games. I used to have an Asus AMD Radeon™ RX 6600, but this card outperforms the Asus card. Intel is releasing drivers more frequently now. This graphics card is definitely a good buy for everyone but the die hard gamer.
