Honeywell HS-216E Oscillating and Tilt Stand Fan - Black

We've owned a few pedestal fans over the years. Some have lasted longer than others and the most recent, purchased from a very well known DIY store which recently went into administration, lasted 6 years, up until our 3-year old decided to pull the head and press the touchpad buttons until they worked no more. We looked around and this Honeywell HS-216E seemed to tick all the boxes: reasonably priced, well known/respected brand, stylish/good-looking, simple and effective. Ordered it Thursday and it was delivered Friday (Amazon Prime). Took 10 minutes to assemble, very easy. It has a stylish, yet heavy base, so it's not going to wobble or fall-over. It hasn't got a remote (we never really used the remote with the last fan), so has a simple rotary dial on the front, from 0 (off), 1, 2, 3 speed settings (3 being the fastest). On top it has a simple pull/push knob to start/stop oscillation. I agree with another reviewer, the power lead is a little short, but it's not a problem for me. I should also point out that it is the quietest pedestal fan we've ever owned, which is great for those hot humid nights in the bedroom. It's also the most stylish looking fan we've ever owned. Highly recommended all around.

The weather man predicted a heat wave and for once he was right! I bought this just before the temperature topped 35C outside. Prime is amazing as was delivered next day in time to beat the heat. The product itself is impressive quality, particularly considering the price. It was easy to put together (you need a Philips head screwdriver) and it stands pretty tall at full height. The effect is also quite stylish. In terms of functionality the oscillation is good - we managed to position it on the landing to blow into 3 different rooms and it really took the edge off the heat. Other reviewers were concerned about noise but in my opinion it is very quiet given the amount of air flow it generates. It will be a summer staple in our house.

Great fan for the price. It was quite easy to assemble. Only one phase was a bit confusing for me but my wife sorted it out. The fan is powerful but remains quiet. It is light so we can move it around the flat easily

I ordered this fan a couple months ago in preparation for the summer as fans always seem to go out of stock and up in price.It has been used to great success in the conservatory where there is a treadmill. The fan produces a good amount of airflow even on the lowest setting, which is more than enough to keep one cool while jogging away.There are 3 fan settings, and I've not had a use yet for anything above the first setting which is already quite powerfulThe noise level is acceptable, and the fan has been used twice now during the current heatwave overnight to make sleeping a much more pleasant experience.The fan comes in two pieces which are very easy to put together, just slot the fan into the base and tighten a screw by hand and it's assembled.I would definitely recommend this

Ordered on the 18th October and has now stopped working today, no customer service whatsover and have to get in touch with honeywell to sort out a repair this is disgraceful. The fan goes well untill the returns date passes and then its pot luck I guess.I feel completely ripped off and would advice people not to buy this fan unless they have money to throw down the effin drain!Edit.. Amazon came through and have organised a return, very very very speedy response from Amazon customer service and fair play to them.. one concern about the fan is that in the manual under the warranty it states there is a number in some sort of code to indicate where and when it was made.. I have searched the fan all over and no such number is to be found which makes me wonder if these fans are even genuine Honeywells... anyway buy at your own risk.. give the one star votes the credit they deserve no one is complaining about "arrived late" or "slight mark" all are saying it broke after x amount of time.

Having had a previous Honeywell pedestal floor-fan for 10+ years that gave me good service I decided to become a repeat customer when the need for another fan arose.The fan arrived well packaged in the manufacturer's own box (plus Amazon' own outer packaging), and all initially looked good.Unfortunately, the instructions are very limited - and I had to read through each step several times before they made sense. There are very small numbered-photos demonstrating each step all on one-page, and then overleaf the written corresponding instructions - this made for much awkward flicking back and forth peering intently at the tiny black & white photos trying to figure out what they meant.Sadly, for me I got right to the end of the assembly process and switched on the fan - it was great! Relatively quiet, yet powerful breeze - just what I wanted. However, I then tried to adjust the up-down tilt (note - not the side-to-side sweeping oscillation which worked fine). And no matter what I did it would not move more than 1cm from the standard position.Unfortunately, the reason I picked this model was primarily for it's tilt function (as mentioned in the product name/listing on Amazon: 'Honeywell HS-216E Oscillating and Tilt Stand Fan - Black') - therefore no tilt = an entirely useless purchase for my needs. We usually have a tall floor pedestal fan at the end of our double-bed in summer, and we tilt the direction downwards onto the surface of the bed and allow it to oscillate back and forth during the night to keep us both cool as a couple. (Something that our previous Honeywell fan did extremely well - until I accidentally broke the plastic upright tubing on it and I couldn't repair it.)So, if you are after a fairly quiet floor pedestal fan (and do not need it to tilt at all) then this would be a great buy. The base is heavy and stable (it felt as if they'd carefully considered a heavier-base to counteract the weight of the fan-motor above it), and seems unlikely to fall-over to me from slight passing knocks.Pros - Quiet fan motor, sturdy base.Cons - Tricky to assemble (quickly - you just need time to decipher the booklet), does not tilt, and power lead/cable could do with being a bit longer. (Minor quibble - I didn't like the big silvery-white 'Honeywell' logo in the centre - I'd of preferred plain black.)

El producto viene perfectamente embalado, una capa por el distribuidor, y otra del transportista. El envío fué rapidísimo, me llegó a los tres días de haber hecho el pedido. No le pongo 5 estrellas por que este ventilador conlleva un enchufe de tres palas, el del Reino Unido. Después de su montaje que es muy sencillo advertí este problemilla, que solventé rápidamente comprando un adaptador de inglés a europeo en una ferretería que me costó 1'5 €. Por lo demás ninguna pega, ya es el 2º ventilador de pié Honeywell que tengo, y sólo espero que me dure lo que el primero, que lo usé 10 años.

Ricevuto in circa 10 gg in un periodo estivo in cui i ritardi sono normali (metà agosto). Molto bello esteticamente e di facile montaggio. Molto stabile . Ha come unico problema di avere una spina tipo inglese. Il problema è stato risolto con una spina adattatore (non fornita). Un acquisto, comunque da consigliare.

Lo compré por el precio y sin leer los anteriores comentarios. Por eso cuando me llegó me encontré que lleva el enchufe en formato inglés, suerte que tenia un adaptador.Esto lo deben poner en la descripción o poner el producto con enchufe estandard europeo.

Ventilatore ottimo, silenziosissimo, stabile, facile da montare. Unico difetto: spina britannica, io fortunatamente avevo l'adattatore da un viaggio precedente, ma per chi non ce l'ha non so se sia facile trovarne uno.
