Blue Ginkgo Kitchen Compost Bin [5L / 1.32 GAL] – Filter-Free, Odor-Tight Countertop Food Waste Pail with Handles (Made in Korea, Gray)

The quality of this bin is really good. The size is good for my needs. It looks great and the lid seals nicely,, even with a compost bag lining. The side handle of the inner layer makes it easy to lift the compost basket. The one thing I wish it has is a carrying handle for the whole bin. This is not a problem when the bin is placed on the counter but since I put it under the sink, without a handle, I need to use both hands to pick it up. There are small holes on two opposite sides of the outer bin near the top however, I can add a makeshift handle to it. I have to admit that it looks sleek without a handle, but I need one. Still happy with the bin though.

If you live in a warm climate you know how awful it can be to dispose of your dog's waist in your garbage can in the garage. After a few days, even covered, the odor is pretty bad! I bought this little bin to keep next to the walkway outdoors, and use the removable inner basket to dump the doggy poop bags into the garbage can on our scheduled pick up day. The lid is nice and tight so rain water does not get in, nor do odors escape, and like I mentioned, disposal is a breeze. The price is far less than a doggy themed trash receptacle too.And, everything is plastic so it will not rust or deteriorate Outdoors. Problem solved!

Like the compact size for a household of two. Fits perfectly in a corner of my deep kitchen sink.The strainer is handy since compostable bags can leak if left in over several days. Easy to clean. Most importantly keeps insects out due to tight seal.Dislike the lid lifting fingerhold design. Due to the tight seal I have to exert a lot of finger pressure to get it off. Slips if fingers are even damp and I have arthritis in mine which makes it more difficult. So I usually pry the edges up with my fingers. I think the strainer handle and container handle could be designed differently so that the composter is more compact without them compromising the overall capacity. Overall it is a big improvement over my Folgers coffee can composter.

Easy to use and helps to control odors. Easy to rinse out. Looks good on the countertop. We're no longer embarrassed when folks come over.

Like this smaller compost bin. Fits nicely on the countertop, does not take up a lot of space and keeps compostable waste from stinking up the garbage. Color is subjective, so some may argue that this is not really blue, but worked for me and compliments nicely with the tiles in my kitchen.

Perfect size and color for my kitchen counter for scraps. It cleans easily and well made.

The capacity is good, but overall it’s a little flimsy. Sometimes the lid was too tight or would not fit easily

Our town moved to composting. The provided bin was great but way too big to fit under the sink and unsightly on the counter. This bin is great. Looks good, fits in a small space. Just right for 1 or 2 people. Might not suit a larger household due to capacity. It is nicely make and looks just fine on the counter.

Replaced my food caddy and this is perfect, especially for large food preps. Good size and a solid carry handle. Happy with my purchase and recommend buying one.

Use this for food waste prior to it going to our compost pile.Big enough for most waste items but not that large that it sits around for a week getting smelly.Easy to empty and easy to clean.

Der Eimer hat ein schönes, schlichtes Design und kann daher auch gerne sichtbar auf der Küchenarbeitsplatte stehen.Durch das Sieb tropft die Flüssigkeit nach unten und der Bio-Müll schimmelt und stinkt nicht so schnell.Dank des Griffs am Sieb muss man den Müll nicht anfassen, wenn man ihn in einen Papierbeutel umfüllt oder direkt in die Mülltonne kippt.Alle Teile dürfen in die Spülmaschine und sind daher einfach und hygienisch zu reinigen.Ich habe es in der Familie weiterempfohlen und auch die anderen sind sehr zufrieden.
