A tri-phase, gentle make up remover, this is made in Spain for Foreo Luna. I'm assuming this brand, best known for facial brushes and massagers, must be making a logical diversification into skincare. I don't have any of their devices but if you do, I guess they could be used with this product. But they don't have to be. And in fact this unscented, cruelty-free Ultra-Nourishing Cleansing Balm is a seriously good make up remover - for a few reasons. Very little is needed - a good thing as there's only 15ml in this frosted pink glass pot which would be ideal for travel or simply to sample what I've found is an excellent product. The properties of make up removers vary considerably in my experience - as do the claims of manufacturers and quite often these two aspects diverge considerably. Foreo Luna makes no inflated claims on the box at all beyond 'Few Seconds, One Solution'. The claim I've most often found to be stretching the truth in relation to make up removal products? - That they'll take off waterproof mascaras and eye liners. Sometimes this is patently not the case. Sometimes they will - eventually, after a few minutes tugging at the delicate skin around the eyes which is not what you want at all. When testing any make up remover, I give it a workout on the blackest, hardest to take off eye liner ever - Wet n'Wild's H2O Proof in black. This always sorts out the wheat from the chaff. Foreo Luna's Cleansing Balm melts on contact with the heat from your hands. I'd suggest trying just a little to begin with - as a little really does go a long way. I'm happy to report this product aces it. It began to remove the eye liner straight away on contact with no need for vigorous rubbing. In fact it worked faster than any other make up remover I've used even on that waterproof hardest-to-budge eye liner. Containing no nasties but a raft of nourishing and moisturising ingredients, this is a fabulous product. If you're a make up junkie like me, with Foreo Luna's Ultra Nourishing Cleansing Balm you may at last have met your match. There's simply no look you can create that this gentle balm can't take off in rapid time. And yes, I like it.

For those of us that enjoy wearing makeup regularly, it's always important to have a product that removes makeup thoroughly at the end of the day, without irritation and without causing any spots! For many years, I used to think it was easy as using a quick baby wipe and then scratching my head wondering why my skin still got spots from blocked pores. Now I really like to use a balm or lotion that works hard on the pores to remove all aspects of dirt and oil. I love this cleansing balm as it feels luxurious on the skin. Don't need to use a lot of it either. This balm works fabulously to remove any trace of makeup whilst also hydrating it. After massaging in, I could see my make up dissolving in it. It is wonderful to see it turn to an oil consistency and then for it to melt away your makeup. Once it's lifted the makeup I then use a hot cloth to cleanse the product from my skin. Every time I use it leaves my skin feeling soft as anything, very clean and not oily or sticky at all. I also like how gentle is on your skin. It's a lovely soothing way to cleanse each night.

I find this cleanser really soothing to use. By using an almond sized amount, it quickly melts onto dry skin to turn into a dry oil which helps to remove any make up and then is very easily rinsed off with water. I really like the texture of it - it isn't something that turns into a runny liquid so is easy to work into the skin without worrying about it dripping. It mentions that it removes waterproof make up but also has a warning that you're to avoid contact with the eyes so I tend do rub it into my skin (giving myself a bit of a massage) and rinsing off with a wet facecloth and then rinsing the face cloth and gently rub my eyes which works for the mascara I use. I don't find it drying on my skin but I still use a moisturiser afterwards. Downsides for me are the fact it's in a container so contaminates if putting finger in it - a little spatula would be good. It's also very expensive. I usually use Murad cleanser which is £36 for 200ml compared to this which would work out as £140 for 200ml even though I'm using an equal amount of each. I do like that there is the option of the smaller jar though to try it out before buying the larger one. I think once I've used this though I'll be sticking to Murad for the price.

Cleansing balm is the first step of my nightly skin care as it is great for me with dry skin. FOREO LUNA Ultra Nourishing Cleansing Balm has a rich and smooth texture. Formulated with a blend of nourishing oils, it was no surprise that this balm felt oily as I worked it across my face but it didn’t take long to remove the oily feeling with water. I was really impressed with its performance. It gently but effectively took away the make up and purities. I have noticed a noticeable difference in the appearance of my skin. I could tell a real difference in my skin. There was a glow to my skin, and it was softer to the touch. The product is not heavily fragranced, in fact, it claims to be fragrance free. This is great for people who are sensitive to scent.

This cleansing balm is a lovely,soft oily consistency and using only a small amount melts your make up away beautifully leaving my skin feeling so soft and amazing. A little really does go a long way. Didn't irritate my skim at all. The only down fall to this balm is size of the pot for a high price, as much as I loved it I would never be able to afford a balm that price, unless I was rich then I would 100% purchase it. I will just have to make this pot I have last me forever. If you can afford then buy it,I highly recommend it

I enjoyed the effects of this cleanser. It kind of looks and feels like wax when you first open the tub. It melts quickly in your fingers and applies to the face easily. I did have to scoop out quite a bit to cover my whole face though. I didn’t particularly like the application as it kind of felt like slathering grease on my face. Upon rinsing though, my skin felt soft and smooth. Definitely a good result. It also didn’t irritate my acne at all. The tub is extremely small though and for the price you really aren’t getting much

Arrives in a sealed box so you can be confident it’s not been tampered with. I’ve used the foreo mini cleansing tool for about 10 years now, possibly longer so I trust the brand to create high quality products. The jar is small but a little goes a long way - it advises use an almond seed amount. Melted in to my skin well and when rinsed my face felt clean and hydrated. Didn’t dry out my sensitive skin like a lot of cleansers do. Really pleased with this.

I really like this cleanser, it makes my skin feel lovely and soft and clean, and it’s very effective at removing makeup. I feel my skin is clearer and more ‘glowy’. It’s unlike any other cleanser I’ve used - you scoop out an almond-sized amount, rub it into your face and it just melts in. It’s sort of waxy in texture. I then wipe it away with a wet face cloth. I follow with micellar water on a cotton wool pad - there is still a little eye makeup on the cotton pad so the cleanser is loosening it all very well! I think it would be excellent for going on holiday with - the little pot would be very small and easy to pop in your case. Although it is so lovely, it is pretty expensive - for the current price of £18.99, I’m not sure how many almond-sized blobs you’d get out of this 15ml pot.

I’m using this Foreo Luna cleansing balm as my step one in the 2 step face washing method. Once a day I use this wash with a soft towel which removes any visible tactile stuff. Then i follow up with Foreo Luna 2 face wash using my Foreo chargeable cleaner. I love the results. His process makes my skin look and feel smooth and super clean. Best face washing I’ve found in my 5 decades of life.
