simple install
first time using this style, after buying the crimp tool it was very easy and looks clean. I made a pattern board to help speed up drilling the holes and the rest was a breeze. I ran them in to 3" tip to post and cut the wire 2 1/4" short on the longer runs (directions recommend 1 3/4-2") and tightened them up without issue. It is alot easier with two people saving time running end to end for each turn.

Comes with heftier wrenchs that some other brands
This package of 60 swage lag screws will secure 30 cable lines. This works by installing a left and a right threaded lag screw into each end of your span. The included wrenches allow you to turn both the left and right simultaneously so you don't kink your cable. I started out using another brand and I can tell you that the wrenches in this set are MUCH BETTER. The other one bent before the job was done, whereas these wrenches are solid and strong. The fact that you get two allows to you turn both sides at the same time (with a helper) rather than jump back and forth between the ends trying to keep it from twisting up. Also comes with a drill bit to start the hole. You still need a crimper to attach the 1/8-inch cable wire to the end of the lag screw.

Good quality, with good bite on 1/8" cable
Got these for a backyard project. Came with everything I needed, minus the cable, and the hardware is decent, with no defective pieces. No complaints!

Nicely made cable rail swage lags with a nice bonus
These are nicely made lags. Threading on the lag end is even, consistent, and they have enough "bite" to allow them to hold plenty of tension on the cable . The stainless finish is not high polished nor is it dull/brushed looking...I guess you'd call a natural stainless finish. The finish is also consistent on all the lags. These work like the dozens of other brands on Amazon...you have both left and right treaded lags so when installing, you use right turn threads on one end and left turn threads on the other. This way you avoid kinking the cable as you turn the lags to take the slack out of the cable. The bonus I mentioned...it comes with a pair of thick "wrenches" that should hold up well for the entire project...I've seen other lags come with thin/flimsy wrenches that would deform easily. The ones CKE includes with these lags should be good to go.As far as crimping onto the cable...that is mostly dependent on the quality of your crimper tool/die and how good you are at using it. It'd get a few extra lags just so you can practice.I can't comment on weather related durability as I'm using these for an indoor stair rail project.

One way to finish a cable rail
Got these to use on a cable rail on a deck rebuild. They, so far, seem to be pretty good. Time will tell if I set them right and they truly hold fast. Comes with a drill bit that does the job on the wood posts I am using. Make sure to get the crimp tight and fast as this is a make or break connection point of a safety feature. One thing I didn't think of when I first got them and probably not even a manufacturing intent. They come in quantity packs. That minimizes the chance of cross contamination. Don't make that mistake!

DIY!
This kit is nice. Makes it easy to do you own cable railings. Saved so much money doing it this way. Plus I enjoy building things myself. Fairly easy to install. Just make sure you get the right cable size and you are good to go!
