SFR Double Splint Wrist Guards

I have to update my review, as I ordered new ones recently and the product has now changed again. They no longer fit well - they were smaller and too tight despite being the same size, and the bottom splint is now a different shape and fit and bends at the narrowest point. These were the type I always ordered, as the bone in my wrist sticks out a lot and I found them comfortable (unlike other 2 splint styles) but that is no longer the case. Why mess with a design if it's not broken?Edited from the review below:I really love these. I know they're not the fanciest, but I have bony wrists and they are SO COMFORTABLE. For the price they last well and hold up good. I play roller derby so the two splints are a must. They're sturdy feeling, but allow me to open my drink and use my hands while training. They've recently improved these with a little bit of foamy spandex stuff near the thumb which made them even more comfortable.

This was the second pair of SFR wrist guards I have purchased. The last pair I bought was about 18 months ago. I can only assume their is some quality issue with this current batch, because my first pair lasted a year (the velcro lost it's stickiness- expected wear) and the next pair, purchased last month, lasted only three practices.The splint on the top of the guard ripped right through the fabric. Something dug into my knuckles when I put my hand down, and when I looked, the splint was sticking out about two inches from the guard.They aren't safe to wear now, and the fabric has torn in such a way that it doesn't look possible to sew back myself. Really dissapointed in the quality of these, as I do really like the design and comfort of these guards. Can't afford to be replacing them every month though!Hopefully they sort this issue and then my star rating would be much higher.

Excellent skateboarding wrist support if you fall. Some stitching on the left glove seemed a bit scratchy until I moved the little flap of padded material specifically designed to prevent that.Tried falling on them hard then harder, as a leap of faith, in the house. Worked really well. Good support, no injury.

Taken a few tumbles palms-first and these have done a first rate job of protection... with the scuffs to prove it! I've had them about six months and the velcro is starting lose its grip, but I do use them every single day, so I'm not totally surprised. Good value overall.

When I got these it was because when i was training I didn't want to do an Axel and then land on my wrists so I bought these. At first they were good, then a sort of white nail file kept sliding out then end. Every minute it was coming out. Also I get a lot of blisters as it rubs on your skin. But their great and handy!

Firstly a warning - I selected the medium size, as I figured that they'd either make do for my hands (slightly larger than average), or my girlfriends (which I assumed would have been closer to the "small" size). The reality is that they're actually too small for both of us! My girlfriend can squeeze into them, but they're apparently fairly uncomfortable.The protection provided by these is more suited to preventing scratches to your palms, rather than damage to your wrist joints, as the plastic splint is very thin.Delivery was, however, very good.

Great value for money. Fits true to size. Measured around my knuckles, 20cm is the equivalent t of size L

I suffer from arthritis in both hands and these are great for gardening, decorating etc anything repetative some reviews said they could only be worn on one hand, I wear them on both hands, it's really simple just twist the velcro strip around when wearing on the left hand simple
