Got this for my 8yo who is loving getting into soccer. Chain, clasp, and everything else seem really solid. Because it goes through a part of the charm rather than one of those loops that have a tiny opening which always gets twisted more open, I think this will last longer than many other necklaces we’ve seen pass through her hands.

The charm is highly polished stainless steel, and the etched areas are black to highlight a soccer ball pattern. The back is blank with a high polished finish. A magnet does not affect the charm, but the magnet attracts the chain loop.The chain weighs 10.4 grams or .37 ounces. End to end, the chain is 23 1/2 inches long, including the 2-inch chain extender. Given the low price of the entire necklace, the chain feels cheap at connections. I would feel better if the ring ends were soldered, put they are pinched tight. I think a light tug will separate the ring and may cause the necklace to fall off.Given my issue with the chain, I still recommend these as a gift, especially for the younger players.
