Lacor Gravy/Fat Separator, Polystyrene, 30 x 30 x 30 cm

Although this is thick plastic, the jug produced so many cracks after the first use and wash on the top shelf of the dishwasher, it is not safe to use again. The product description clearly stated dishwasher safe. Very disappointing. Not worth the money. I have been instructed to send it back for a refund but due to being in isolation due to ill health in the family, I can not do that. Why sell something that is so clearly not fit for purpose, and then expect people to put themselves at risk to get their money back? Amazon Customer service on line just keeps looping me back to the returns window. Useless product and appalling service.

I used my new Gravy/Fat separator once and cracks appeared in the jug. The liquid was not boiling it had been sat in the pan a while before seperating. I would like to return this product/get a refund as I'm very disappointed and I feel the product was expensive for what it was and so really should have been up to standard. Please could somebody contact me in regards to resolving this issue. I would much prefer this to have been a positive Amazon experience. Many thanks.

After a good few uses it is still going strong. This is a must have item for any kitchen, especially when you make your own gravy.We pour our gravy from the pan straight into the separator while serving up the grub, by the time the food is on the plate all the oil and fat is on the top and pure meaty gravy is at the bottom. To make sure it appeals to everyone who is at the table we just serve the gravy into a nice gravy boat.It is also just as good for vegetable gravy too.I love the comments I get on my gravy.

Had one of these for years and alas our old one cracked and needed replacing. couldn't find the exact replacement therefore tried this one. Its okay. Although not really sure what the rubber stopper thing in the spout is for?

Cracks very quickly in dishwasher, even on top shelf. The spout goes too high up the side of the jug. It goes up far too high for the size the thing. This means there is much less accuracy in skimming off fat and you can't get every last bit of the liquid at the bottom.

Very disappointed in this product. After the first use with hot gravy, which I would have presumed it is designed for, it made cracking noises. These cracks now mean the jug leaks and we've used it for less than a month.It did work well from the perspective of separating the fat off the top, etc, but is not fit for purpose given it can't take any heat...

I used it to separate the fat from the juices from the cut of meat. Then I use the fat to roast the potatoes and the juice for a gravy or a jus.

We have purchased this product twice as we thought the first one was defective. As a fat separator for gravy or stock it cracks with basic heat - not boiling, just hot. If we left it to cool any further the fat would start to congeal so frankly, what is the point?
