Superb clarity
I've spent the last few weeks investigating open back headphones for the office at home, while test driving a friend's pair of Sennheaiser 650s, running through a Fiio K11 DAC (no EQ) from my computer, with FLAC source files. While the sound on the 650s was great, it wasn't quite what I was after, and the clamping force was also just too much for my head around the top of the ears (I also wear glasses). The research led me to these, the 350ohm version, and I definitely think I've made the right choice.I've only had these about an hour, but my word, how fanulous they are. First, the comfort, much more comfortable that the 650s, using the default pads (I've yet to try the leather ones). A much lighter clamping force, and they are light and seem to disappear. The only downside is that this force may be too light for some, as they do move around on my head if I move suddenly. It's not a problem for me though, and after a short period they still feel comfortable.Next, the sound quality. These are without doubt, the best headphones I've used. The sound is just wonderfull. Bass is controlled and doesn't feel muddy, nor overbleed into the mids. The opening track to Erykah Badu's first album Baduixm shows lovely control, everything feels sharp. Mids are tight and clean, there's a lot of clarity, and treble is bright, but doesn't feel overly so; no harshness or sibilance. Moving to Emily Barker's new album, the opening track (With Small We Start) is so clear, so balanced, nothing seems to push to the front and bleed over. Something with a bit more drive, such as Morganway's Back To zero, gives a full rich sound, without any fuzziness.Classical music seems equally well handled (I have eclectic tastes). Orchestral feels very inclusive, you could forget you're not there. Vocals are clear, and choral works shine with great clarity of the various sections. The soundstage is astounding, open, wide, you can clearly hear all of the instruments and voices. I can't believe what I've been missing over the years. It's a good package too; a hard shell case, two sets of ear pads, and connectors for the cable (which is long, but you could easily replace it if that's an issue as these are standard connectors). Overall, an exception set of headphones for the price.

Overall very, very happy!
So appreciate that I am only starting to get into high Res audio and am very much uninformed as a whole at present, but wanted a capable set of headphones to help me on said entry! For me, nearly £300 isn't an amount I could drop on a pair of headphones and not worry if they're bad, I did my research, read a couple of articles and watched some streams, these kept coming up. Also, I didn't want to waste my time with a pair that were potentially able to do more with music than I could realistically perceive or appreciate. These were at just the right price for me to take a plunge, and honestly, I'm really glad I did.I store my music in higher resolution formats already on my NAS box, but wasn't sure if my speakers or current/older headphones were really doing the file's justice, and as a precaution I also bought a little USB c DAC by a different brand to test with.Game changer. I think there is a lot of hype around these recently, simply because of how premium they feel and plush the presentation is in their arrival. Honestly, that's a great bonus for a dullard like me, but I can say the clarity even when I plugged them in without the DAC was much better than any of my Bluetooth devices (I know, no duh right?).However, with the DAC and some pressing of buttons I managed to get my first glimpse of the music I had been storing, and whilst it's likely a placebo, I feel it sounds clearer and different. When I say different, I think it's the access to a greater amount of detail in the music which I appreciate and might be picking up on, but overall it feels so much nicer.Something the reviews mentioned was the ear cups being potentially too small, but no context. To that end, if you wear Bose Qc35's and find your ears fit in the cups without touching the top and bottom, you'll find these fine. I do and can say they fit just well, but my ears are also quite flush to my head, so this might also be a something I can't comment on. Second watch out, the braided cover over the 3m cord is a little loose very susceptible to velcro snags, which is on the case in the area you store your cable! Third, buy a DAC as well, even a cheap one can be useful! If you haven't got one, you can grab them for less than £30 but unlock higher resolutions which is why you should be buying these anyway, it's not always as simple as; buy headphones, plug them into laptop, world changed. The DAC might help.

Quality headphones
Excellent build quality once again from FiiO and the sound coming out of these headphones is very pleasing to my ear. I am not the one who is interested in all these sounds at different impedances if it sounds OK to my ear i am happy. These are high quality headphones with 60mm dynamic drivers which are uncommon in it,s class. Comes with protein leather and Suede earpads, 3.5mm interchangeable plug, 4.4mm interchangeable plug, 3.5mm to 6.5mm male adapter, 4.4mm female to XLR-4 male balanced adapter, leather storage case. These headphones look stunning and very comfortable to wear over the ears. They built to last and come highly recommended.

Other headphone manufacturers take note !
From the packaging to the actual headphones themselves all well presented with a feeling of high end, velour outer dust bag and a well made strong carry case, headphones are well built and look better than some of my sets that cost 5x more. Initial impressions out of the box very good but will need a bit of burn in time, recommended purchase though 👍

Simply sublime, when fed with an amp can give them the voltage
I was very pleasantly surprised by these headphones; they're actually better than the hype they've been receiving. I use an Icon Audio HP8 MKII or a CIAUDIO VHP2 to feed the FIIOs, and they outshine my trusty Beyerdynamic DT770 250Ω 2023 editions - for me these are hard to beat do to the quality of their bass definition, albeit with their classic "U" shaped voicing. The FIIOs are not "U" shaped in voicing and have a sumptuous midrange which I find incredibly engaging. A really good test track to listen to on these headphones is Pomplamoose's "Thinkin' Bout You" (on YouTube) which really shows off the fabulous bass, midrange and overall dynamics of these headphones.

Detailed sound and great build
Fiio made a great product for that price range. They are fully detailed, open and wide stage are present and even the bass is accurate and punchy. They come with all the needed accessories (focal style). Definitely deserve a chance. If you have a powerful amp go for the 360 ohms version.

A very good headphone especially at this price!
i am an audiophile and i own may high end sets of IEMs and headphones. i did alot of reading reviews and when i heard the fiio FT3 was coming out i was very excited. i would say this is model this headphone competes with much more expensive models like the Senheiser HD800. The frequency response is remarkably flat, not quite "studio monitor" flat. The bass is good. smooth mids and detailed treble. They do require an amp to get the most out of them since they are 350 ohm. i own a ifi amp and DAC which are a good match with these. These are a very fun pair of headphones! I find them to be very comfortable even during long listening periods. They come with 2 different earpads both of which are comfortable. my only complaint is the cord is really long (about 3 meters) Its a very high quality cord and is replaceable.Pros: great quality and very classy especially for the price!comes with a nice carrying case and bag.very comfortable with replaceable ear padsa very nice cord that has a standard 3.5mm tip with 6.25mm adapter. also has a 4.4mm and XLR balanced adapters.Cons: they require a bit more power than most portable devices can supplymy system:ifi zen DAC V2iFi Zen CAN Signature 6XX - Balanced Desktop Headphone Amp and Preamp with 4.4mm Outputsi wont list the other headphones or IEMs because i have so many. lolgreat job fiio!
