Not light weight, but works great
I have an 80 pound senior german Shepard who has arthritis in is hips so it's difficult for him to jump in and out of the car these days. I bought this about a year ago and have loved it. It's still in great shape and is stored in the garage in Texas heat. It took about 2 (very patient) hours for him to get the gist of it. (I buckled him up in his harness to help guide him up the ramp.) He was unsure because it has a sort of "spring" to it, but it is definitely sturdy enough to maintain his weight. When I first bought this I was worried about it fitting on the car door. I had a 2013 Hyundai Tucson and it did not fit on the side, so I just used it a the trunk. I now have a pickup truck and this ramp is still working great to load up my dog. It's not light weight, but if you're used to carrying heavy groceries in and out, you can manage this just fine. The folding is great and has little hooks to keep them in place while it's folded. Highly recommend.

BEST INVESTMENT for my aging dog! Amazing product.
Thank you so much for this very helpful and brilliantly-designed product. This is one of the BEST purchases I’ve made to support my senior Dog and his hips. ❤️ 🐾He uses it getting in and out of the car, and we bring it inside for him as well. The surface material is THE BEST OUT THERE!!! It’s sturdy, easy to fold and carry, and reasonably lightweight for the size and thickness. I especially appreciate the angled lip with the gripping surface where it connects to a surface at the top and bottom as well as the clip to hook on to something. You’ve thought of everything!!

Works pretty well, but it's a bit cumbersome
Overall, I'm pleased with this ramp. My two 85 pound dogs got used to walking up it fairly quickly. It's sturdy and seems like it will be durable - had it only a few months. The top surface is a spongy green plastic weave that provides good traction to dog paws. Main downside is that it's kind of heavy and cumbersome, but I'm not sure how much you could realistically expect this to be improved. You have to watch out for getting your fingers caught between the panels when folding and unfolding. It has a lifting handle on one side, but it would benefit from having a second handle on the other side.

Great ramp for tall vehicles
Extra length was important so the angle would not be too severe for my old walker hound. Using on a 4 Runner and it works great. Folds up nicely. It's a little heavy but has a clip to keep it latched, and a carrying handle which makes it quite manageable. The surface is a very grippy, rubbery material that won't likely wear off or hurt paws like the sand paper type grip on other ramps. I highly recommend this ramp, especially for a taller suv/ truck

Works great for big dogs
I bought this for my lab who had ACL surgery. He wasnt supposed to do stairs for 7-8 weeks. To get him to his vet appointments into the car I bought this ramp. It works great getting him into and SUV. It also works on short stairs like maybe 3 otherwise incline is steep. folds up so easy to put in car. the surface is easy on paws and not slippery. It is a little heavy and a little awkward to unfold and put up. Can be done by one person but take a couple of minutes. My labs is a bit cautious and after 2 attempts went right up the ramp. Definitely recommend.

Too heavy/ bulky
I’m returning this item due its weight. I was planning to use this regularly but when I got it out of the box I knew instantly I wasn’t going to want to get this out everyday. I was envisioning it opening swiftly with little effort but it is just to heavy to be convenient. It is very sturdy and the material for the walkway is perfect for traction. It is made very well and is durable. If you are going to use this ramp once in a while and you absolutely can’t lift your dog into the back then this may work great for you. My mistake was that I was so focused on the walkway material I failed to realize the bulky weight.

Sturdy, good surface covering, adaptable
Our lab was just diagnosed with bone cancer in her leg and we were advised not to let her on furniture or stairs and to keep her inactive. But she loves to go to work with us every day and loves camping. We are determined to let her continue living as long as she wants to, so we got this ramp for travel. We have a Ford F150 crew cab with four doors and this ramp lays up to the back very nicely and clips into the seat belt loops at the base of the seat for stability. Dolly weighs just under 70 pounds and this ramp holds her weight nicely. It has a little give in it when she walks it, but I think the give is for extra support. It folds up nicely and has a latch on the side to hold it together when in tote. On the same side as the latch is a carrying handle. The ramp is covered in green indoor/outdoor carpet which gives nice traction without being rough on their paws.We have also used this at our back patio doors at home as well as the camper door so she can go in and out without the impact of the steps. The top end of the ramp has a nice contour/curve that seems to form a natural grip with thresholds.I was worried about getting something I could trust not to collapse under pressure and this ramp has won my confidence. It weighs about 20 pounds.

Works well - easy to handle
We have a 72lb rough collie and we have a difficult time lifting him and putting him in the back of our SUV so in our search to find something that would allow him to get into the SUV on his own, we found this ramp. We weren't sure if the ramp would work because he is generally suspicious of stairs and anything new so we decided to place the ramp over our outside steps that he has to use every day to go outside and let him get used to using the ramp in that setting before we tried to use it with our SUV. Worked like a charm! Much to our surprise, when the time came to go to the vet, he walked right up the ramp and into our car with no problem! Yay! No more sore backs! You do have to make sure that the ramp is firmly placed on the surface you are putting it on and it does bounce a little bit when our dog walks up it but not so much that he is afraid of it. We also stand on either side of the ramp while he walks up and into our car. Overall we are very pleased with this ramp!
