Handle fell off on day three of actual use but glue fix is easy and r leave it. Beautiful way that fight the summer sun.

Sadly it came damaged it was wrapped in my brown paper inside it was damp it is all mildewed on every bamboo part in the handle was chipped

The parasol is decently constructed, sturdy and with a pleasing design. As parasols go it works just fine. I have another similar to it. However, it seems it wasn't given enough time for the glue to air out and dry before it was packaged. The bamboo staves are covered with mold or mildew and it has somewhat stained the fabric along the staves. If I can't get it clean with a gentle detergent spray, it's going back.Follow-up: I was able to scrub it clean with a few drops of Dawn detergent and a tiny spritz of Clorox spray cleaner with bleach in water. I used a soft dish brush and toothbrush to scrub the staves and fabric from the inside, then rinsed with a mild jet spray from the garden hose. I let it dry on the hood of my car in full sun for most of the day. The assembly seems to have survived intact and the parasol works fine. Not sure anyone should have to do this, just letting you know it is possible.
