Vortex Portable Mixer

This works as designed but I would not call it a mixer I would call it a very large stirrer. This only works if the unit is on and running and you slowly pour in the powdered ingredients that you want to use. This is not a mixer it will not mix or blend a smoothie nor will it mix fruit, fresh or frozen. Only powdered products should be used in this. (protein powder, powdered Gatorade, powdered chocolate milk mix, liquid or powdered water enhancers)

Works well for what it does. It mixes the protein powder very well. going on a year and works great.

This is a great mixer. THIS IS NOT A BLENDER. Mixes very well and fast. I like the bottom that keeps the batteries, it is removable. This makes washing very easy. Uses up batteries very quickly, I would suggest using rechargeable batteries. I do and it is easy to pop in and out when they die.

This is actually a really good mixer. I've seen a lot of people say that it leaks and has some issues. I've had mine for about six weeks and here's what I've learned.Pros:It definitely takes the hassle out of making protein at work (especially after shoulder day)You can fill up to 10oz liquid, then still add protein or other powder.Great for mixing pre workout or creatine, as it is thin and doesn't drain the battery.Easy to clean, just add water, dish liquid, and turn it on (don't get the bottom part wet)The easiest way to mix is to add half your liquid, then all your protein while the mixer is on, then the rest of your liquid while it is still mixingCons:After 2 or 3 shakes with milk, I have to change batteries or it gets clumpy.The batteries it comes with are terrible and will make you consider taking it back(until you change them of course)The rubber piece on the bottom that covers the batteries falls off constantly (currently taped on)If you push the top lid completely shut, good luck getting it back open.And last, there are 2 tiny areas next to where you drink, that your drink will definitely get into, its so small I had to clean it with a Q-tip.

I truly enjoy this mixer. I recently embarked on a detox requiring me to mix a few green drinks daily. Regular Blender Bottles were not mixing the drink properly leaving grittiness in the drinks. After reading the reviews I chose to proceed with this purchase. I agree that you should replace the batteries that come with the mixer as they are generic and not as powerful as Energizer or Duracel batteries.The reason I'm giving 4 rather than 5 stars is for the drinking spout. It's kind of awkward. There's a whole and a lip that makes it difficult to drink through particularly if you are trying to chug something. Other than that I truly enjoy this product.

I bought this after watching my sister use hers on a road trip. She used it to mix her vitamin powder into water. It was small, portable, easy to clean and didn't take up much space. I decided to buy one for myself. I read all of the reviews and used my own new name brand batteries and have had no problems with power. I use a scoop of Green Vibrance mixed with OJ, tapping in a little at a time and it blends nicely. Also, it is quiet enough for me to use in the early morning without waking anybody up in the house. That was definitely not an option with my manually powered shaker cup. Also, the shaker cup was harder to clean. This rinses out beautifully without any residue. Needless to say, I got rid of the shaker cup immediately. So glad I bought this.

I bought this as a gift for my husband and I was worried because he is a true gym rat! I was worried because he drinks high quality protein and I do too and I usually mix it with almond milk which makes it thick, so I was nervous that this would not blend it well. To my surprise this mixer made it clump-free in seconds! It is very quiet when it is on and you can take the base off once you're done, if you'd like. Cleaning it is a breeze. Sometimes, I fill it up with water and ad a drop of dish detergent and turn it on to clean it lol. Just make sure that when you hand wash it or put it in the dishwasher, to remove the base (it twists right off) It requires 2 AAA batteries.

This thing is perfect for mixing powders into water. It's (obviously) no substitute for a real blender but for mixing supplements into liquid it works wonders. I've been using my vortex for a month or so 3 times a day and its showed no signs of slowing down, outside of the batteries being replaced. As a side note this thing really came to life when I replaced the cheap batteries it comes with so I would recommend getting those with your purchase. It is also essentially self cleaning as you just fill it with water when you're done and turn it on. I bring this with me to the gym so I can take protein right after my workout, so much better than a shaker cup. If you workout and you're tired of your shaker cup, don't think about this purchase, just do it
