does the case contain a place that fits the usb dongle ?

It doesn’t. There’s no real place for the charging cord, either, but it does fit into the case with the mouse. I haven’t figured out what I’m going to do with the dongle when it’s not in my computer. Also, don’t trust the carabiner that comes with it. That being said, the mouse nestles into the case nicely.
