Amazing visual blending of interesting subjects

Jerry Uelsman is extremely talented. He has a unique vision. I am glad that i have a book of his work in my collection.

Uelsmann work is brilliant; a photographer who explored complicated compositing long before digital tools were available. His dream worlds are inspiring examples of the art. On another note, the book arrived in an oversized Amazon box without any interior padding, which resulted in the book almost punching itself out of the box in transit. A cover wrapper appeared to be damaged by the process. Disgraceful neglect.

Uelsmann's mastery of visual metaphors are represented well in this retrospective work. The printing is exquisite with most of Uelsmann's most famous works and some of his newest being represented.A must-have for the aficionado of photography or the student of the history of photography about one of the seminal photographers of the modern age.

Too much repeat! If you have any other books on Uelsmann's work, you don't need this one.

This shows all his old work and a lot of new work. Great book. Stop asking if I want to return this book the answer is NO.

I only recently discovered this fantastic photographer. Wonderfully creative and beautiful artistic creations. One definitely needs to check this book out.

Wonderful Retrospective by a great darkroom artist. I've loved Uelsmann's work for many years and he does it in a conventional wet darkroom. No Photoshop here, just wonderful traditional skills. Uelsmann's work inspired me when I started photography in 1985 and even after 30 years, I still find his work fresh and inspirational.

Ein Einblick in das Werk eines Fotokünstlers, der mir bis vor kurzem unbekannt war. Uelsmann hat schon weit vor der computergestützten Bildbearbeitung mit Photoshop ganz unglaublich Photomontagen erzeugt. Komplett analog mit bis zu 8 Vergrösserern in seiner Dunkelkammer - man meint nicht, dass so etwas überhaupt möglich ist.Trotz des Alters von bisweilen über 40 Jahren wirken seine Bilder aber frisch und inspirierend.

A well spent $35. Uelsmann is the father of composites. This book just inspires my photography.
