Good value torch
The specs for recharging are not reflected in the user manual with regards to the charging indicator light. The manual suggests a red light illuminates when recharging is required and a green light tells you it’s fully charged. This has changed to a 4 blue light indicating system. When fully charged 4 blue lights illuminate and as the charge depletes then each blue light extinguishes as power runs down. Once you get the hang of this then all is good and, apart from this little anomaly, it’s a great little torch well worth the money. The battery provided is very powerful but I like the fact they also supply two other battery carriers to take 3 x AAA batteries or a smaller Li-ion battery.

Good range and brightness
Comes with a rechargeable battery and USB lead to charge your torch. This is handy because you aren't required to take the battery out and charge the battery separately instead you can charge the battery within the device making your charging experience easy. The brightness of the LEDS are super bright, I remember the days when a torch would give you a low warm light, this torch gives you a super bright white light. The bright white light made walking in the dark an easier experience because of the range and width it would cover compared to my old school torch.Installing the battery was super easy, literally unscrew the top, pop the battery in and screw the top back on.Turning on and off the torch is a click of the button, once on you are ready to go.

Excellent build quality
Positives:-Build quality is excellent - made of aluminium alloy, not plastic.Very solid construction (weighs 293g) inspires confidence in its durability. One button controls on/off and its 5 lighting modes - high, medium, low, strobe, SOS.Pre-installed 1 x 26650 lithium-ion rechargeable battery. Can also be powered by a 18650 battery (not supplied) or 3 x AAA batteries (not supplied).Integral zoom adjusts focus - for use as a floodlight (zoom in,) or spotlight (zoom out).Water-resistant - IPX6 rated waterproof.4 LEDs above the control button act as a battery power indicator.4 blue lights = 100%, 3 = 75%, 2 = 50%, 1 = 25%.Red light flashes when power is low, and when recharging the battery.Green light comes on when recharging completed.Micro USB to USB-A charging cable, tube for ! x 18650 battery, tube for 3 x AAA batteries, lanyard with carabiner clip, and user manual included.Negatives:-None, at the time of writing this review.Observations:-Came very well protected, against damage in transit from the manufacturer to the end user, in a sturdy attractive cardboard box with a lift up flap and magnetic closure.Inside of the box is fitted with black semi-rigid foam with cutouts for the flashlight, a tube for the optional 1 x 18650 battery, and a tube for the optional 3 x AAA batteries. This box is useful for storing the flashlight when it is not being used.It also makes an ideal gift box, when giving the flashlight as a present.Conclusion:-IMO, this is an excellent, multi-functional Rechargeable LED Flashlight, and I am particularly impressed with its build quality and solid construction.

False advertising
Torch is fine. I use it to light up the garden when my dogs are out for toilet, very basic, as the mains light stays on for only 30 seconds or so but why say 30000 lumins in description when it clearly states 10000 on the box. Additionally, in description it says bulb included. For God sakes, that’s a given with any torch

Bright but questionable battery
With this torch you get everything you need to get going straight away, including some charge in the provided 26650 battery. This includes a caddy for AAA batteries and an adapter sleeve for smaller 18650 batteries. The torch is very bright in use, but I cannot see it being as bright as the labelled 10000 lumens as the official datasheets for the Cree XHP50 LED used here suggest as maximum lumens of around 1000.The lithium ion 26650 battery included is unbranded and states it has a capacity of 5000mAh although this has been rewrapped and beneath this wrap it’s stamped as 4000mAh instead. The original wrap also states it is INR chemistry, which should hopefully be one of the more stable battery chemistries. There is nothing on the battery (either wrap) to say whether it has any protection circuitry though - have to assume it doesn't as this is the worst option. The battery can be recharged inside the torch via the included micro usb lead (it is a shame it isn't USB-C as this is the new standard for portable devices) or if you have a suitable desk charger, it can be charged in there. There was no worrying heat from the battery as it charged. The torch itself is chunky and feels robust due to its aluminium construction. The on/off button is five-mode, cycling between high/medium/low/strobe/SOS modes and it lights up when in use. There are four LEDs giving indication of battery charge, so it appears to have a voltage monitoring circuit onboard. The accompanying literature states the colours should be red/orange/yellow/green depending on level of charge, but mine lights up blue with fully charged batteries. The lens is heavily domed with a magnifying glass as with so many torches of this quality (and possibly the way they are claiming a brightness well over the LED specifications). Pushing and pulling the head allows the glass to focus the beam in and out, though they should have restricted maximum focusing as you can clearly see the cross line on the led die when zoomed in all the way.All in all, a fairly decent if somewhat uninspiring torch. It is bright and will light up the way easily, but there are questions about the battery.
